Siffert Memorial 1.5 hours

This was almost a DNF as I lost connection while I was typing "Grats all, grats Conor" after the race, so I guess I should say it now.
For a moment at the start I felt dully to miss the Q as I was able to do mid 18's with my qualifying set, but after all I cant blame anyone else but me for missing it. And even with a mid 18 qualy lap I was still going to be at the back of the pack.
My race set was pretty horrible, but I realized this in the opening laps and it was pretty late to change anything. My set wasnt anywhere near balanced, and at the fast corners after the backstr8 the rear end was pulling me to the sand, while the front end was sliding around due to the lack of any grip.
Nomatter how bad my car felt the gap between me and Mike was serious due to his mistakes, which made me think that I'll be lucky and I'll aviod being last, but later on I lost any rhythm and I did something like 100 mistakes which was more than enough for Mike to overtake me.
Just one thing I dont understand - why some guys are signing up for an event without any intention to show up for... Despite the poor turn out this was interesting race and I'm happy I managed to finish.

I woke up when the green flag dropped.....damn that snooze button!!!!

I really struggle with consistency on bumpy and undulating tracks, so I'd decided early on to go for a safety drive and see how many people got stuck in the bunkers.

It worked pretty well all in all, had a couple of good fights with Ralph and Barry, tried to put some pressure on Ralph late on for 4th but didn't quite have enough speed left.

Apologies to Mike Erickson for spinning right in front of you on pit exit, I saw that you were exiting perfectly safely and holding up to let me through but I'd already stomped on the brakes in panic and locked up. I don't think it cost either of us too much but my bad.

Second week in a row I turned a good qualifying spot into crap. Last week it was the PACE LAP that did me in, this week I improved as I made it all the way to L1 T1. Throughout all the prerace practice, I don't think I ever went off on that corner. I already apologized to Dennis, but haven't watched the replay to see who else was affected. Anyway, apologies to anyone else.
Ironically I then drove an almost mistake free race (1 minor off I believe on worn tires) although there was some minor damage that affected the lap times somewhat.
With Tristan gone it was left to Conor to run away and hide from the rest of the field.
Well done to the podium guys.
