WTC Spain - Race 1

I really wanted to like this sim and its ok for me. The level of driving though was horrible. Race 1 I was bumped off the track by Pete in a fumbled pass, but I mananged to get back up to 5th. Race 2 someone just hit me from behind going into turn 2 sending me off track. Wasnt worth continuing after that.

I saw examples of this kind of driving all through the race. I dont see the point in racing in anymore of these events

Man, I suck. I really like Race but it`s pretty clear that I just cannot compete.The only thing I could get that car to do was fucking blow up!

Hehe. Totally different driving and setup style needed for these things. I like the sim, but damn do I suck at it.

Not a bad race for me personally, had some pressure from Ian but he caught the gravel in the last turn a few laps from the end.

Was pleased with a top five result. :)

I should know not to hit escape.. as it probably stopped me getting pole lol (great lap rory) I though nobody would beat my time. Next my car started to move on the grid so i hit the brake and reversed and got a stop go. so i entered the pits and got another sop go LOL.

Race II

Started last and tried to work my way forward but an exorcet missile finished me off very early on probably lap 3.

good result for the team i'm just sorry I can't make the final race!

Wow, what a race - Apologies to John Mueller for the tap lap 1, no excuses, I locked my brakes and just couldn't stop in time - I pulled over to let John back past and rejoined in last place, from there it was a very exciting race, although I was making silly mistakes from there on having been rattled by the Lap 1 contact.

Apologies also to Matej, I got boxed in and had nowhere to go, put us both at the back, not like we were going to get any points anyway - lol

Sorry, John, but no way was that a 'fumbled' pass. The gap was there, I went for it and my inside wheels never left the white line (see screenies). How much cleaner do you want it :) - please check your replay. Don't give up on the series, though. A bit of panel rubbing is inevitable with racing this close - sometimes you gain, sometimes you lose. It's just a totally different mind-set from anything else we race.
It was all academic anyway, cos on the next lap Roman tipped me over at T2 and I limped home with a battered car to 14th.

Pete, you actually hit me because your entry speed was too great, this is obvious on the replay, but it really doesnt matter. I uploaded a screenshot that I feel is more representitive of where you came from for the pass. I didnt leave the door open because I take a late apex in that turn because i thinks its the fastest way through. If you look at the point of contact your car is actually pointing away from the apex. In other words, had I not been there to hit, you would have gone wide.

I am not blaming you for anything, just quoting this as an example of this series being a bit of a bump fest. As you say panel rubbing is acceptable here and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Thats fine, its just not for me.

All I can say, John, is that we must be looking at different replays, cos in mine the contact occured when you came down on me! Like you said, though, no sweat either way.

Don't agree with that, sounds too much like public server driving must be expected with these cars.
