GTx: Imola

Survived the first lap mayhem but as Sir Pete didn't I soon lost my interest to race. After some laps I went to pits from 11th spot and left.

Just terrible, quick summary:

- Span 3 times.

- Got hit off 2 times.

- Involved 2 or 3 times in a collision unavoidable (sorry for whom i've hit, don't remember)

- 2 STOP N GO penalties, one after being hit in back flew off and was considered a cut with stop n go, lol couldn't help it. Did stop n go run wide lap when i had to avoid a spin and stop n go again.

One to forget quickly.

Had an abysmal qualifying, but whatever. Just here for some fun. Was running around 10th for the first stint, came in for my stop and almost every pit stall around mine was filled with cars, including mine. Even if I wanted to push the car out, I wasn't sure which it was, so I drove through and pitted on the next lap. That put me back in 16th, I think, and I just worked my way up, had a good battle with Gregg for a while, until the leaders plowed through. Wasn't a great race, but still fun.

What an utter disgrace.Cars everywhere by t2 and cars trying to get back on regardless.Then with fast guys behind me,i knew it was just a short time before i got pushed out of the way,just cruised then to avoid a dnf.

What a mess that first lap was. Found myself in 12th or so racing D adams, put a tire in the litter and that ended that.

Pitted got back out and found myself chasing Adriano until the leaders started plowing thru. That pretty much screwed my chances to catch him, and Sam Kruger was able to catch me. I had no contest so I let him by, started to close in the end but ran out of laps. Oh well.

I've had enough of this track for awhile.

Sorry Heinz you just appeared out of nowhere, check out the screens. Ruined your car I'm sure. Luckily I didn't get much damage and could continue. I could only notice damage to my susp when sliding through a left hander....like the first half of all the S-curves ;/

I got up early to get in some practice before the race but it didn't pay off at all. My practice last night was great, constant mid 46's but this morning...never under 47.0 in the race.

Just drove slow. Still fun putting in laps.

Started in 6th. No practice means that you need a little to to adjust, normally 1.40 no problem. Was trying to get hold of the people ahead of me and got Pete on the start/finish straight but I don't know what happened there, I think he disco'd, I don't think we had contact there. Had a few excursions outside the track and a few people talking to me during the race :( *mental note - close all doors, unleash the dogs :D* Had some nice fights with Mark and Kieron. Almost caught Pablo in the end but I slowed down a little to secure my position cause I was running out of fuel and didn't know if we had to run another lap. Congrats to all. It was a challenging race.
Seeya at the next one, I hope with no distractions :)

Insane!

I was having problems with the setup which was oversteery. Qual didn't go as well as I'd expect it to but took pole anyway.

Was completely rusted on the start... Like I made the first standing start lol. Lost 2 positions and was chasing down CJ and Rob. On the pit I decided to go without changing rear tires and I had alot of oversteer after that. I did take the lead after the stop but CJ was chasing me down and I was on big pressure. He later managed to pass me but my tires were worse and worse with meds worn off on the rear and nearly fresh softs front the grip difference between the ends was critical.

Ofcourse I had to mess up in the last turn by misjudging race end. I could've finished with 1L! I then see 42 laps in GTR2-XD HUD but I didnt have much time to think so I just took a stop and stupid crew pitted back to 80 friggen liters... I was like GRRRRR!!! *** ** f*** **** lol

Was great racing with CJ and Wan...err Janko while it lasted, grats you two(yeah you too Yanko).

Congrats to Claus and Janko.

Big appology to Tom O, with my tap on exit that caused him to spin during 2nd half of the race, very sorry Tom. I should have known better with you being in the handicapper car (Viper).

Pablo G. -- not sure what you were thinking coming out of pit on cold tires/brakes like that and then knocking me into the sand trap. Too bad, I had plenty of car left to challenge for lead if that didn't happen.

Still had fun and enjoyed trying to catch back up to Claus. Got a good start for the lead, then it looks like Joco got on the throttle too early coming out of the chicane and did a 1/2 spin. After that I had a pretty comfortable gap to Claus around 1.5 - 3.0 secs that shrunk and grew. We had put on some good distance to 3rd on back keeping a strong pace.

I pitted about mid way and took on tires per plan. I came out in 7th or 8th but wasn't too concerned. Then I had that incident with Pablo which pretty much ended my strategy but not my race. I kept pushing hard but I was 15 secs back from leader, narrowed it down to 5-6 secs but just not enough laps left.

EDIT: now I see you meant my spin lol... Was kinda confused yesterday, one of those days :P
