USA WTC: Imola #2

Usually these cars a blast to drive and fun to race others with. But man....... Tonight was an exception i guess. I don't know what the issue was tonight. If you're faster than me or just deserve to be in front of me due to overall coolness factor. By all means, i guess the new way to get around someone is just bump em out of the way, or put em off track! That works i guess. I losta total of probably 6 positions all race due to people knocking me off track etc. It was ridiculous. I never flame anyone. But there was one incident were i lost at least 3-4 spots because he just couldn't get around the right way at the time. If my pace wasn't good enough for you find a way around. Don't be cheap and steal a podium spot. You know who i'm talking about.

Also wanted to appologize to i think it was Les. Going into a hard breaking downhill left, it looked as though i dive bombed ya. Not the case. Again was hammered from behind. Just tried not to wreck you and myself. Sorry if it screwed you up.

Again i'm not trying to flame, but this was the worst race i've ever been in, as far as there being no respect shown for anyone else. Just glad i salvaged a decent finish.

Was very sloppy driving tonight. your not alone Scott..i dunno what it was eathier but people just didn't have any cool they were jaming and bumping and getting really dirty out there. I still don't like race 07s cut track rule considering i had 2 supposed cut track warnings and i get forced off the track to get my 3rd which means a stopngo, i don't believe in that but thats the way it goes. I do hope the people causing all the problems tonight rethink about there driving and remember theres other people out on the track.

Well, When I got up this morning, I was going to say what fun I had racing with Scott & the others. Then I read Scott’s post. I sure hope you’re not talking about me Scott. I watched the replay 3 times now and I know we had some contact, but fail to see any instance where I took you out or drove badly. There was a couple of times when I even let people I know were faster by. I really thought we had some good racing. The ghost cars were the main problem. If anyone has a problem with how I drove, please let me know. I try to race as clean as possible, but things happen once in a while, but did not think I drove bad this race. Overall, I thought it was a good race. I’m beginning to think this Alpha is not a good car to drive though. Was not suited to this track at all. But like I said, send me a PM and let me know if you think I drove badly and I’ll go back and watch the replay again and try to see what you’re talking about.

No No Charlie. we had contact but nothing like the other stuff that was happening. It was actually alot of fun racing you. It was just people had no patience last night. I know a lil bumping is fine. But i just got hammered from behind way more than normal. I know this series we're going to have contact, but damn people should race me the way i race them. I've punted a driver once since i raced here. I always give space in braking zones. I'd rather earn it somewhere else than push them off track. If i wanted to race stock cars i'd go buy ARCA. I prefer precision and working hard to get something out of this. I really enjoy this series but it seems like the 2 events i made it's getting way more ugly.

I wondered if it was just me. I got punted off in the first turn of the first lap when a Kan hit Frank, then Frank hit me and we both went off taking William with us. After that, it just seemed to be a rough race. However, I must apologize to rickettsJR. I tried to late-brake him on the inside and believe I punted him off when he turned in. Total judgement error on my part. I got a stopngo for cutting too, Matt. I turned in too early on my first, then overshot a chicane on my second. Not sure what the third was, but it must've happened. Oh well. Still having a lot of fun. For those out there racing the GT classes in GTR2, how does this compare? I'm thinking about trying that out after this season. See you next week, guys!

Bad night for me. Having served stop and go 3 times really hurts.

And yes some drivers were rude in both races, including myself, and I saw a lot of punting going on. In race 2 at the start, I wrecked William Cody, really sorry! I checked the replay and you were at my blind spot so really didn't know you were there, I wrecked myself too. Then at the first chicane, I wrecked Dwayne Evans by punting at his rear left side, that's my misjudgment and my total fault, apologize.

I suggest anyone got punted and wrecked file an official protest, otherwise the rude drivers will remain rude next time.

To Charlie, yes I think you will be much much faster if you drive Seat, and it is the most "wrecker proven" car, very stable and easy to save while being wrecked.

Thanks for the clarification Scott. I was really bummed out there for a bit. I never try to hurt anyone’s race. You always race me clean and I always try to return the favor. Drivers like you are what make this series so much fun.
As far as this Alfa that I affectionately call “Miss Piggy” goes, in some sadistic way, I really like the way it drives. I’ve run many laps in the other cars, and still find it more stable than the others. Doesn’t seem to do as well going into turns, but has more torque coming out of turns, and launches off the line better than any other car. At least everyone knows where I am because I’m the only one stupid enough to drive this tank! It’s just my lack of talent that keeps me off the podium, but I’ll be there soon!

I used the BMW last season. Must say i'm really enjoying the SEAT. It's a been a tough task trying to get the front end where i need it but the car is a scalpel. I really like it. But i dod enjoy the BMW also. Think i might try the Alfa next season. I like how all the cars are very give and take. Makes it very equal in a way.
