Euro WTC: Zandvoort #2

A very difficult start, 4 or 5 cars battling for the same track position, but everyone survived. I was trying to protect my team-mate's rear and had a car go either side of me, but I stuck in there and held on to the place right behind Pete.
Had a bit of luck when a car ahead went off, forcing Pablo to slow down, that gave me a run and I was determined to make the pass. Pablo tried to close the door into T1 but it was too late and I held the inside, most satisfying moment of the race for me.

Firstly, apologies to Adrian Dimitriu who I clashed with in turn one. I had entered the turn thinking you had run wide and when you came back on a tighter line I was left with no-where to go. It wasn't a punt in my view because I touched your rear left side but it was crap none-the-less. Sorry.

Rest of the race I was simply trying to make up for race 1 and score some points. A few people in front made mistakes and I was able to gain a few positions. Notably I passed Pablo after he ran wide overtaking someone at T1. He was very fast after that and we had a comming together in the final turn. It was a 50/50 accident and so I was suprised when he let me back through. Very sporting and certainly appreciated, but he didnt have to do that.

Overall a pretty tough return to the series... quite dissapointed I didn't make more of an impression considering I was quick in practice.

Had an awful race. I was too busy trying to help Sam at the start and ended up getting boxed in. I then managed to make a few places in T1 but that was ruined when I had to throw out the anchors to avoid Pete, losing me those places. Then Luis punted me twice in the next two corners, eventually screwing me up enough to spin out on the curb in the shortcut corner. I was pretty mad and managed to have another spin later, which put me behind Anton who was quite laggy and very rough, and I wasn't in the mood to put up with it so we clashed a couple of times, but I think they can mostly be called racing incidents. I must apologise for the punt I made on you into the chicane on one lap, totally misjudged how much slower you were than me there and the lag didnt help, so I let you get back ahead. The last lap though I wont take the blame for since you'd done it to me the lap before, and technically it was my corner anyway. Whatever, crap race but I'm just glad to get away from this place.
