WTC Germany - Race 1

had to quit, i was so laggy it was dangerous for me and for others

the reason may be im using the plr from GTR, dont know if it is, but never got around to make one from scratch ...
now its to late :(

Yeah Tim had that problem before. Gotta use the original plr file. Too bad it's encrypted. :(

Anyway, that was the worst race I've ever had, bar none. Had no practice in a FWD car and I decided to try a setup that turned out to be a hotlapping setup! Couldn't keep it on the track at all.

Then someone decided they were gonna pull on the track without checking for traffic and wham! I punted them clean off the track and I was luckily pointed straight and hit him exactly in the middle of my bumper so I didn't spin or anything but my engine was damaged and obviously handling wasn't as good.

And to top it off, that POS ZoneAlarm took me to the desktop and it took me a while to find out where the system tray icon was to enable game mode. When I went back I was sitting right in the middle of the track. Thought I had gone off but nope I was right in the middle. I heard someone drive by while I was at the desktop so I thought I was okay but then as I started to pull forward here was Larry Anderson zeroed in on my bumper! Larry hit me and spun. So sorry Larry.

So the whole race was a disaster. :(

Qualified 3rd got a great start and led for about 20 yards turn left at the first corner and span, wot a twit!. Raced from the back and had a lot of fun eventually ended up 5th.

Well first race at R2P and it was great fun.

Managed to get a decent quali spot but had a terrible start.

Had some good scraps through the field, due to others misfortune. I was closing down on Chris and last lap we had a contact 3 corners from the end. Sorry about that mate, I was trying to line up an early exit and I think you had a slight slide, so we hit. No harm done I hope, as it was a great race.

No worries, Paul - I think it was my fault - my tyres were trashed by that stage and I lost control into the Shell Esses, scrubbed off a ton of speed in the slide - amazing the impact was so small, really.

I lucked out at the start, got into 4th place, then I felt like I was holding the whole field up and having to defend all the time, Paul got past me early, but I benifitted from others misfortune and ended up in 3rd - about half distance I finally settled down, adjusted the brake balance forward a bit (managed to turn my lights on in the process *blushes*) and started to close the gap to 2nd, made the pass into the esses and then the tyres went off! Fortunately John M and Paul seemed to be holding each other up, but Paul still managed to close me down, the last couple of laps were very very tense, but huge fun.

It's great to be back racing Super Tourers again :) thanks all for a great race.

Qualified 8th which was surprise expected to be a bit further back, due to lack of practise and switchig cars from the Seat to Alfa at last minute. Had terrible start lost a few rows but quickly got back up to 6th for a while until all the grip at the rear went. Had to slow down grip seemed to come bac so i got on it again only to spin and lose splitter on lap 11. By lap 13 got tyre warning from the pits no grip it was driving on ice and dropped down to 11th by end of race.
Rather disappointing finsih but hey its still a finish!! Better luck next time!
