couple of unforced error cost me the front wings... and the race

Exciting race here. Congrats Tommy and the podiums!

I had a good qualify at 3rd place. Tommy made a good start from 4th to 2rd at the first corner, and I dropped back to 4th. Enjoying myself at 4th, looking at the battle between Tommy and Rob in front of me, seems like Vincent and Rob were the faster guys here. Then later Vincent and Rob got into some troubles and I found myself in 2rd chasing Tommy.

Seems like I was a tiny bit faster than Tommy here when I pushed hard or maybe he hadn't started to push yet? I managed to close down the gap to 0.6-0.8 sec and prepared to have some fun with him. Then we went into a car a few laps down. Tommy got through him at the main straight easily but then I was stuck behind him at the left-right-left section, I did not afford to lose a second here so I didn't slow down, unfortunately I misjudged the speed difference between us and touched his tail and smashed my car into wall which cost me my front wing, I hoped the FBMW was FWD then nothing will happen :) From then I could only crawl back to finish line and allowed everyone to pass me.

Next time need to take more cautions when lapping others :)

That was fun, didn't practice my standing starts and it showed, made a horrible start which put me in 3rd spot behind Tommy. There is really only one good place to pass here and that is the front straight, tried a few times on Tommy but just wasn't close enough. Vincent was starting to check out so I had to figure out a safe way around Tommy...

I tried a wider approach coming down the hill, that was mistake #2, got a wheel on the grass in the downhill section to the sweeping right hander which sent me off. Got going again but saw a car coming downhill so I got out of the way by bailing to the grass. So back in 4th spot. Worked my way back into 2nd spot mostly due to other's mis-fortunes. Dropped the gap to Tommy but too little too late.

I just made too many mistakes this race, was lucky to come away with 2nd spot.

Vincent, it'll come with time, just stick with it.

I do hope so Rob.... 2 poles but 2 DNF in this series. I should really prep myself better mentally next round.

Hey Vincent don't need to feel bad at all...after all it's just a game so just have fun while it lasts. Anyway to keep this thing on tarmac here is not easy, I saw the replay and half of the field spun all around the track, that's fun :)

Maybe you can try a more forgiving race setup. I am not confident in RWD cars so I always set it understeer, soft rear end, max wing, low power diff, an overall longer gear ratios, and don't downshift too much and too fast. I never downshift to anything lower than 3rd gear here. With setup like this I definitely lose some speed but this gives me confidence to push hard during race.

Well I still find myself preferring the FWD cars, simple and easy to go, floor down the throttle without using brain, more relaxing to drive, that's the way to play after one day's work. Of course I know many people like to counter steer and side sliding at every corners, but I just don't belong to that group :)
