Euro G2: Imola

I couldn't complete a quali lap without catching another car somewhere and losing time despite leaving myself plenty of room. So I had a difficult start from 8th. Soon moved up a few spots after 1 car lost it and then Allen was badly taken out. That put me in 5th behind Heinz, I just stuck with him and we pulled away gradually from those behind. Cristi pitted and we both moved up a spot, then Heinz made a small mistake and I moved into 3rd. Pete and Tolga had been pulling away from us at the start then the gap stayed the same for a while and at the end I gained on Tolga but he'd done enough already and was safe in 2nd. Very nice 1st and 2nd from OTHR. Grats on the win Pete.

Wow, the worst race off my life. Ever.
In qual i was told to park it, so i started last. Fought my way to 11th (sorry stephen for the move) the founf myself last, coz nobody else pitted! After that chased like n mad child, last lap (thought the race was over) pressed esc, and it counted as n dnf. Basicly just stupid noob actions costing me dearly, sorry if i bumper, or took anybody off, i apoligize. Great victory by pete (congrats ) and also to my good friend heinz, would raced very well...

Was looking to be one of my best results racing at this level.Ended up running comfortably towards the end of the race in 6th position after spending the first part battling with George though he started to pull away after a while.
Whilst accelerating up the hill with a 4.5 sec buffer to 7th behind me I inexplicably decided to drive off the road,I actually got transfixed on the f@#$&*! tyre temps & lost concentration for a second,that let 1 past me then I had Claudiu on my tail who pulled off an excellent pass going into the left hander at the bottom of the hill--bugger!,by this stage my tyres were cactus & ended in the race in 8th.

Quali was messed up by cars all over the track. Had to limp back with a flat tyre and start all over. Got 2 timed laps in which was good for 9th. I wanted to keep Steve behind me cos I've been behind him in two races and knew he was pretty fast but brakes quite early. That worked out fine and after some offs by others I was running in 4th but with Cristi closing in fast on fresh tyres. If Tolga wasn't that close behind Pete I'm sure he would have slowed down to prevent doing lap 25 but that wasn't to be. And in that lap I braked too late for the 2nd chicane and Cristi got by into 4th. But I'm happy with 5th on a track I really dislike. Stupid Italian tracks .... they all used to be fast tracks and now are spoiled by chicanes. :-(

I was happy with what i could do with the Seat, looked like i was in good position for a row 1 or row2 start

Then Tolga the old sly dog blasts a 1m48,5 in free prac and made APR question our abilities... hoped he wouldn't be able to repeat that in Quali..

I decided to go out reall quick in quali, as i suspected track would be busy and wanted to get the best chance i could.. funny my first 2 flyers i had 0 traffic and put in really bad laps, then i was getting traffic for my final lap and was lucky when he lifted and let me pass... Really appreciated it.. Got a PB in quali and started 4th...

My race started okish, was expecting John P to have a good start with the porsche, and Allen C got passed me aswell... but John P didnt make it passed Aqua Minerali and I was also trying a move on the outside of Allen, when he started pushing me wide toward the grass, so i backed off, but this let Scott P get inside me and then straight into Allen in the braking zone ...

Put me into 4th behind Cristi chasing the front running seats, and was maintaining the gap, closing, loosing, but pretty consistant, darren was keeping close..

when cristi dived into pitlane, was a blessing, but my tires were going off, I was in 3rd and struggling... then i had a twitch and the backend kicked out at Aqua .. Darren took 3rd, and had George P now 5 seconds behind and Kinloch on fresh tyres behind me, he was looking to get passed and was very careful not to ruin my race, so much respect there, thanks..

Was able to manage that, until i lost the car again, George passed, and cristi was now close enough to get passed before race end which he did... so i finished 6th ... disaster!!!

Not sure what happened - I went to the grid at the start of the race my steering wheel and pedals suddenly stopped working, I pressed esc and then went back to the grid, still no luck - dont know if anyone has ever had this problem before?

Anyway sorry to the guys behind me on the grid, Once I knew i was going no-where I got off the grid as soon as possible.
