Euro G2: Brno

I was a bit annoyed with myself after quali, I couldn't get near the time I expected but I was still on the front row so I hoped to get a good start.
It went pretty well and I got alongside Pete into T1 and challenged him around the outside, he held a good line and we came out still side by side. I had the inside for T2 and Tolga was prowling right behind, looking for a gap. I tried to stick to the very inside of the turn but slid out into the middle of the track and bumped doors with Pete, Tolga took his chance and passed Pete and put the pressure on me, but I just managed to hold him off and keep the lead. I don't think Pete was too bothered since he had a plan. I tested a no stop and it didn't work for me, I lost too much time at the end and I couldn't have made it work. I was hoping it would be the same for everyone but Pete showed his experience and made it work for him, good job mate.
I was keeping up a pretty good pace, I had to, because Tolga was right behind me all the way from start to finish, and I closed the gap to Pete as expected but it was never going to be enough, Pete was just too consistent.
Overall there wasn't a great deal of action after lap 1 but it was still a very tense race with Tolga so close and Pete on the different strategy, so it was good fun and a good start to the series.

Thank you all it was a pleasure to race with such a professional league, I could have done a none stopper but did not know how a 2X tyre wear would have effected my race so chose to stop for tyres. I lost two places at the start but gained them back over the race but made a shocking pit and came back on track in 13th. Steve Davis was a good distance ahead of me but fortunately caught up with slower drivers in very awkward passing points, so caught up and then had possibly the greatest overtaking moment in my long GTR2 life and went from 11th to 8th in two corners. I have to say thank you to all concerned as they were gentlemen and gave me the room and had just a really good time with everyone on track. Again thank you all for a really good race and well done Passmore for being the highest place climber of all. Roll on next race.

It was awesome to get the season started again, was happy with my car ..

Quali went well, could have hooked up a little faster but slower traffic got in the way, a 4th was very nice..

Race started well, i managed to keep my 4th and watched darren pete and tolga square it out in the first 2 corners. when pete dropped to 3rd infront of me i was finding his pace a little slow for me, but could not get the best chance to get passed for a few laps, was not much in it, but i was definitely on a different strategie as the race progressed.
When i did manage to get passed pete, Darren and tolga were too far down the road to catch, I may have had a chance to catch tolga, and from 5 seconds to 3 seconds was the gap at pit stops.

Though after stops, it was apparent tolga was quicker again, and i had no asnwer and sat comfertably trying to get 4th back ..

Great opening race for s8.

Disappointing really,with a pb in the 2.00s in the porka,just could not get it going.
