Euro e30: Curitiba

Took pole and had a good start. Samu put me under pressure though for most of the race. It was clean and good fun and going into the last lap I thought it was a done deal. Then I made a small mistake into turn 2 and Samu got past. He then took the win. Pretty dumb to lead every lap except the last one, but having said that Samu was there to take advantage and did a great job. Anyway I had good fun fight with him.

After about month i thought why not race tonight after long pause in racing. After work i tested car/track for about half hour and got my times with racefuel to hi 1.24. At qually i made my personal best and drove hi 1.23.

Start was really good for me and at t2 i was second, so i overtook 2 players in startline and one player in T1. After that i kept my pace for rest of race. John build small gap in first few laps but i managed to keep up same pace. We drove nearly whole race within one second from each other. At final lap i decided i take it easy but John made that mistake in T2, not in T1 as i mentioned in screenshot. I managed to overtake him. After that my pulse raised to about 220 and hands started to shake. I luckuly did'nt make mistakes and managed to get over line as first. This was my first ever victory in any pc simracings. It was good fight with you John. See you in next event and let's make it as tight as this race was.

Couldnt see the server on Monday night so done some practice off line to learn track and set up car.

Got home from work late yesterday and entered server just as quali was about to start. Setup turned out to be crap, just no front grip! Qualified no less than i desererved which was last!

Had an absolute blinding start, From 15th to 6th before the first corner, Caught the revs perfectly as i changed into 1st gear. If i had any confidence in my set up being able to stop me for T1 without a big lock up i may well have got into 5th. 2 or 3 laps in i was fighting for a position, the guy in front started spinning causing me to hit his car and then i got hit from behind causing me to spin. That put me in last, managed to get back up to 11th but Garry tried to pass and there was contact which was my fault, i should have given up my position as Garry was miles faster, sorry Garry.

Terrible race for me, one of my worst, so far off the pace!
