FT: Portland

Ugh, what a disappointment. I struggled all week trying to get consistent in this car, and in the final hour of practice I was finally running within a couple tenths of the bottom half of the timesheet- much closer than in 2 races so far.

Qualifying starts and I'm slipping and sliding in every turn and never get within a second of my best time.

I made it through the first lap and a half completely clean, no spins, no nothing, and rose through the carnage to 10th. Then spun about 600 times in the next three laps, thought I might get kicked out of the race, then finally settled down some. The 2 leaders come by, then Matt Miller sets up to pass at the beginning of the backstretch. I track out, he moves alongside, I lift a little...the car jumps sideways, I bounce off Miller and into the wall. I watched the replay 50 times to figure out if maybe it wasn't my fault...nope. No idea how it happened, and Miller didn't seem to take any damage, but sorry nonetheless.

I keep on, figuring attrition might get me another spot, when I cross the line and bam, bye bye rFactor. Only happened one other time in hundreds of hours on this game, but oh well. It only cost me one place in a race where I was struggling mightily anyway.

Congrats again Matjaz, 2 weeks in a row at Vanport.

Grats to the podium - there seemed to be more speed here than in the Euro race.

I just want to apologise to those guys who crashed into me while i was spining very sorry. I have no idea what is going on lately cant finish any race driving any car is very difficult for me. I feel very dissapointed as i manage to go fast in quali but again crashed later in the race well hopefully next time will be better. Congr to the podium!!!

Disappointing is all i have to say.

Avoided a obvious crash at turn 1 only to get hit by a car coming back onto the track and not looking, went into the pits got fixed still running fine then i get hit again this time from behind, had to pit a 2nd time and by then was in 15th but now my car was totally messed. Managed to move up to 10th because of more crashs down the road.

I haven't seen the replays so i have no idea who caused anything really but that last few races i've not been pleased with what i see on the track.

was going to be my first race here but I crashed on the warmup lap.... funny. Well, at least no damage was done to anyone else :-)

OMG Let me say this... Last night was very interesting!! I had to start from the back due to ditching qual. I spun during it anyway. But Real Life issue had me pull out of it. So i started dead last. Which was fine. Give myself something to work hard for. So the start goes and a bunch of people infront of me just didn't go at the start. So i thought i jumped the start. But i didn't. So i found myself up about 5 spots after a few turns. Then people just started wrecking and spinning everywhere. I avoided a wreck between 2 guys and sent myself into the grass. Making it even harder to get up front. So i paced myself and started bearing down. Found myself 5th and about 11 seconds behind my man Dennis! Knowing that he and I seem to always get stuck racing for position. Matt Crash too. It's a shame what happened. I was waiting to see if you and Dennis where going to be right near me like always. So i started racing harder knowing i would gain about a sec or so a lap. Then got about 2 seconds from him and put myself off track. Then i was about 10 seconds behind 4th. So i got back on track and started pushing it again. Why i don't know. I knew i couldn't catch him. Then 2 laps to go i spun and hit the wall very hard. Lost the front wing and the rear i believe. also had something broken on the rear suspension. Really undriveable. But knowing i only had 2 laps left i sucked it up and toughed it out. Had Edwin gaining steadily, but i fought so hard to get to where i was that i couldn't just hand it over cuz of my own stupidity. Luckily i made it in 5th about 2 or 3 seconds in front of Edwin. One more lap he would have blown by me. I knew my team needed the points so that inspired me to just keep going. Conrats to Matjaz and the other podium finishers. Mike way to carry CT! You kicked ass again!

Scott definitely had the run of the night- thanks for a nice clean pass when I was struggling on cold tires, amazing job moving through the back of a pack of pretty novice drivers to get back up and compete.

The start was strange for sure. It comes so quickly after getting into the grid box, I never saw or heard the red lights. I just see that the timer is running and off I go, but probably 1-2 seconds lost. Not sure where the "origin"
of the start sounds comes from but I definitely never heard it, and it's hard to see the lights with a crappy monitor at low res on the back of the grid.

LOL Josh you just reminded me of an almost problem. I was behind you going into turn 1 i believe and was just following your line and adjusted to your braking zone. But man you just got on the brakes a smidge harder than i. I tried my best to not wreck you and myself. Got it slowed but i think i just tapped ya. Not enough to spin you or even mess up your corner entry. But wow that was close as hell! Just glad i didn't ruin both of our races. Had a great time none the less! Love racing these cars with you guys! Great series!

Q didn't go as well as I had hoped, was a sec off PB.
Started 8th and was hoping to get a good start and at least
stick with the second wave of cars after the lead pack.
Braking into T1 after the start I saw a problem before it
happened. There was no way that car was going to slow down
and make it thru T1. Poor Matt, he got drilled in T1.
I made my way thru the carnage and moved up a couple. I knew Scott was coming and I watched him shave about a
sec/lap. I thought he catches me he can have it, I'm no
match for him. I was suprised with the mistake Scott,
your normally very consistant. Racing the clock
was diffrent, as opposed to running door to door, it was
cool. Had a good time.
