GTPC @ Sebring

Disco before quali, wasn't able to connect for a while.

Andre, I feel like a complete piece of crap. I am so sorry for that rear end going into one. I saw you coming and I should have just let up aliitle but I plan to get back in line, and I didnt realize you brake just a tad earlier than I do. Realizing it I hit the brakes hard and locked up a wheel and slid right into you.

Man I'm so sorry....

First stint was great, had a great run with charles and chris. Chris I hope I wasnt crowding you. You Had a good pace for awhile so I figured I just tag along. Then after 15 laps the 360GTC just came alive, so adanvced ahead of you. Charles I saw you closing in on us, and I tried to beat you out of the pits but I saw mark and you both roar by and I still had 100 feet to go before I got out of the pits.

Rob sorry for the scare that first time you came up on me. I almost got it sideways into your door, talk about ass clinching.

I couldnt seem to work the brake issues out the 360GTC at Sebring, I usually never lock a tire. Exciting race up until poor unsuspecting Andre gets rear ended by me.

Stupid move like that, I decided to park it

Sorry guys, not how I wanted my first race in this series to go.

Accidentally qualified with a full tank of gas, came up right behind Darren in qual and we spent a solid 40 minutes battling nose to tail, it was awesome stuff. We came across another 575 and overtook him in turn and continued to battle. It was great stuff, but after the pits I quickly built up a lead that had me holding a comfortable third the rest of the way.

Second to last lap or so, I spin and put my nose into a concrete wall. Lost my headlights and my splitter and damaged my suspension. I had to give up 3rd to Derwood limping home but was far enough ahead to hold fourth.

This whole race was totally clean for me other than that screwup, it was my best run I have had so far, so there's something good to take. I also would mention that every class seemed to work together well tonight. I've never driven in the faster class before, but I had a very clean pass every time I was overtaking slower cars, it was great racing. Thanks guys.

It started well and I got into a groove with Aaron close behind me and no Aaron you weren't crowding me, well you were but then thats what it's all about ;-) I was enjoying it.

Then it happened! Every time I have practiced on the server after a while my fps go to cock.

When I started the race they were in the high 20s low 30s, great. Then all of a sudden they just dropped to 15 and the stutters start. thats when I crashed into the wall running wide at T1 and I had to contend with a car that would turn in (splitter) and the dreaded stutters.

I was just about to quit when all of a sudden calm! my fps went up in the high 30s.

I had to ease right off at the end, nearly ran out of fuel!

what a race!!!
i was surprised to get 2nd in qual??? others in practice were making better times...
Also, i was a bit dissapointed that we weren't as many as what was expected, maybe due to fps thing.
Night driving or changing conditions, i love it!!! :) more exciting!!
Btw, game fuel calculation scared me, i was supposed to be missing 4 laps of fuel with only 1 stop, but the game was wrong, fortunatly!!
First stint, Rob was faster but i managed to stay in contact with around 5 sec behind and was even able to attack and close it in on Rob at a point where i thought it could be possible to think of winning, the car was perfect with 75 liters and less... but i eventually cought Charles, SORRY man, i was closing in at that point, that's why i was trying to pass you in a hurry, hope i didn'T cause you any troubles!!.......pit in and came out with about 7 sec back from Rob, he was still there, but again, first 25 liters were not good, he got away with 14 sec in front, then i tried to come back in contact with him, having again, a perfect balance but it was too late, great job Rob and All!!! :) great racing
BTW Rob, in the post race chat, you said that i kept you honest?? not sure what that expression means, i think it could mean that i kept you on your toes??

I had two good setups for this track. One was the Saleen, and the other was the Bi-Turbo. Since i do not drive the GT cars much, and this race was at night, I picked the Bi-Turbo and gave my Saleen setup to Rob (or anyone else who wanted to DL it from My Garage).

The first stint was pretty borning, as Pete checked out and had an amazing pace. After 10 laps he had almost 30 sec lead. Then came my pit, it seemed to go ok. After i made one lap on the new tires and fuel load i see Charles coming out of the pits right behind me and we battled for 45 min. I almost lost in in the esses before the long back straight which gave Charles a good run on me, then going into T2 my front left cought the crub and i did a lazy half spin. I sort of figured Charles was gonna check out on me at that time, but i cought a break when he ran a bit wide catching the kitty box and slowed him up. I then went back around and we were no more then a couple car lengths apart the rest of the race. Oh, and on what we thought was the last lap, we both start saying good job, then notice the game never told us we Finished..LOL So back on the gas we went for one more lap.. Good times! :-)

How did everyones computer perform? I did not notice any issues at all at night and look forward to next season.

Qualified 3rd - first time ever in a GT Ferrari. Race started ok, could keep the pace with the first two. Then in lap 3 I hit Daniels stationary car - it was there just for one sec, I hit it hard and car was steering left from then on. Was losing time and positions and I guess I was pushing a bit hard. Engine blew just as I was entering the pits. Got on the jacks and the st00pid crew fills my tank, changes tyres and starts urging me to start the engine. Looool! With a smoke cloud all around them, hahaha.

Duno what could have happened, i didn't felt any contact, and i did an offline test this morning with 30 cars, night and 100% rain, no freeze what so ever, perfect start...so i'm surprised to hear that i came to a halt with a cable connection??????

Yes, Daniel, it was a you, once only, and for a short time. Boom! That's the thing with on-line racing, you can't anything. It should be visible in the replay.
