Euro WTC: Magny-Cours #2

A good start of the series and even better of the whole S7 so far! I really seem to be faster with new PC^^

In qual I tried to pass Andre on hotlap. I clearly was faster so you should've let me :| Got a fine timing on first flyer but than had some tough luck...

A fine start on race 1 and followed Scott, with Darren behind... Pretty boring, good thing it lasted just 8 laps.

Race 2 though was way way better in terms of fun and entertainment. On the start I passed a car, and was really really tight on Estoril turn. After that I tried to concentrate as much as possible and be consistent. Somebody was really closely behind, soon Scott took me as he bumped me a little which was just enough to lose speed. Not Nice. You later bumped Alexey tho... Not nice :P. Following Darren, he later spun and I could easily take the position. Soon after there was quite an accident with some of the Beemers. Passed 2 or 3 cars and 3rd was mine!

In the end, luck was on my side today I guess and great both results! Looking forward to these series(and being fast with new PC =)

After things settled down I was fairly comfortable in 5th but once again I made a costly mistake and dropped to 12th. It was a good last couple of laps and some nice driving by the 2 cars I passed to get back to 10th, some real door to door stuff but never any danger of a collision.

Hey Joco, how about you pass judgement after you've watched the replay huh?

Anyway, qual went well, got a PB although there was still about 0.7 left in it, but it was good enough for pole so that was cool :-)
Race 1 was a little boring... pretty much hotlapped to the win. Managed to knock half a second off my qual time too :D
Race 2 was far more interesting. Got a nice start and the whole top 10 or so had a really tight run through Estoril, but it was great to see everyone behave themselves. I had a great run on Joco down to Adelaide but he was acting really aggressive so I played it cautiously, and sure enough he chopped me off into the corner. I managed to over take him with my first 'not nice' move a few turns later. As you can see from the screenshot, I was all the way alongside and was well within my braking limits and Joco simply turned in on me. Just because I can brake later than you doesn't mean I'm divebombing Joco ;-)
Anyway, worked my way slowly but surely up to the front, and caught Pete, who was in the lead, on lap 6 I think. We were having a nice little dice when out of nowhere Alexey wipes us both out in the hairpin out of Imola, then serenely drove on as if nothing happened. Nice.
Anyway, Allen slipped through which left me and Alexey battling over 2nd. He defended really well, kudos to him, until 180 on the last lap where he decided that it would be a good idea to chop me off just as we got on the brakes, even though I'd already pulled along side. Another 'not nice' racing incident I'm afraid Joco ;-)

Grats the Allen on the Race 2 win. Glad to see the back of Magny in this series, although I'm not sure how much fun Vara is going to be... we'll see.

Always my least favorite event on the calendar. For some reason, the car/track/driver combo just doesn't gel.
Race 1, made a good start to jump ahead of Alexey, but that turned out to be a mistake when he tapped my rear end a couple of laps in. Spent the rest of the race in 5th, staring at the rear of Mark's Alfa.
Race 2, made an even better start to lead by Adelaide. It only took 5 laps for Scott to catch up, at which point I was looking to made my car the widest out there. Unfortunately it was a shade TOO wide for Alexey, who tagged me again...and left me staring at the back of Mark's Alfa!!!
