Anderstorp 400k

My race did nothing but suck fron the very beginning.
My setup was poor on my differential and I had bad tire temp issues. A lot of spins and finally decided to get the heck out of it. Sorry for getting in front of you Tim, didn't mean to wreck, I was attempting to get out of your way but it was too late.I thought it was safe to get on track but I was not parallell- my mistake.

Sorry Kent, My mistake...you raced a clean race and made no contact with me whatsoever. Please forgive the error, just wanted to make a public acknowledgement of my mistake. Pm's will do the trick, sorry for breaking policy.

one-more disco-night ...

My race…well qualy went terrible, I ran faster on a full tanks than I did there, race started wet, I went off in the turn 4 high banked nosed it square into the tires on the first lap, declined to go to pit road, worked my way back up thru the field to third with 40 minutes to go before the massive discos began, then after Ari – Steve get dumped one lap later it decides to dump me also, This one hurt more than the last disco mainly because I fought my way back thru the field with a damaged car only to have it wiped away. Pissed…I tell you I am! My apologies to Craig for the hit in the hairpin, sorry dude, you were parked and I had no place to go. Congrats to who ever won!!!!!! Again, great race by all the competitors, very well managed, thanks Tim for the OPEN series. Not much more I can say but…@#$%RT^Y&*$%^&*(

Why the hell are these disco's happening???????????????????????????

Lost another motor. I'm hoping it was from digging my way out of the sandtrap. My GT-I teammate will send me along the way with AJ Allmendinger and tell me my services are no longer needed if I bring home another DNF in the Invitational here at Ander.

FInally finished a race in Enduro....woohooo.

Had a pretty uneventful race other than one spin with a little help from a GT1 car. I went for a 1 stop race and was shocked to see I was faster than Tim, even with all the extra fuel.

Was a real bummer when mid race someone exited and all the sudden half the field is dropping like flies.

My apologies to Don for what he says, to be honest I have no clue what you are talking about so I will watch the replay to see where I shoved you off course. I don't remember anything even being close, but hey if I did I am truely sorry.

I would like to add tho, if your pissed at someone about a race incident handle it in private messages. That is a unwritten rule here, no flaming and naming names.

Don, I tried to watch my replay but most of the cars other than mine are frozen then flash further up the track and freeze again.

Are you sure it was me? I was driving a Porka in this race. I just don't recall anything even close other than early in the race I passed Tom Rue entering a corner and saw him fly off in my mirror but there was no contact so I don't know if I caused it or he just lost control.

That had to be my cleanist race yet - no crashes resulting in parts flying, weehah! I did visit two gravel traps, but just minor instances and got right back on track. ALSO, this is the first race I wasn't dead last! Hoohah! heheh. Later, though, I missed my braking point, two laps in a row, at the end of the long straight, but at least didn't crash, one of those was more because my right side wheels touched the grass and that was the end of control till I stopped sliding, in the gravel.

Overall, I don't think I caused any accidents, and wasn't involved in any. I did see, a couple times, people who were attempting to pass me on corners, but I'd see them in my mirror spin out, failed attempt for them.

There was a time, maybe 10 minutes or so from finish, that I thought my race was over. I was coming into the first banked corner too fast, got into the marbles, and went a bit high. The car stopped on the top edge of the track, high centered. One of the guys going by me chatted Wait Chip, but I was able to rock the car off and back on track.

It is too bad about the guys that were either disco'ed or crashed out (I'm not sure which), I must admit, I'm quite happy with my finish, and my race overall. As for that disco - I saw someone chat Sorry, then I came up the straight between the two banked corners and saw at least 4 cars all over the track, I had to weave through them. I guess the Sorry person must've upset quite a few people in that stretch. Then within seconds they all left, and within a minute or so a couple more also left. Bummer.

I quickly pulled a 10 sec gap while the track was damp. Then a couple of small mistakes and catching some backmarkers in bad places meant the gap went down to 6 sec. Then it jumped to 15 sec and I could relax a bit more.

After the first of my scheduled two stops I had a 25 sec cushion that at some point went to 40 something. All was looking really good with just under an hour to go, Steve 42 secs back, Jeff just ahead of me in third. Then a couple of guys left the game in succession, I had a feeling it might hit me too. It did but it wasn't a regular disco so not lobby-related afaik, GTR just suddenly CTD'd, meaning I didn't even get a replay.

If there were a race where I'd hope not to hit technical issues, this would probably be it. How was the mass disco for those that were involved? Just a disco, CTD or something else?

This was a great race for me, although the disconnects make it feel a bit hollow :(

Qualy went much better than expected, ran a second slower than i would have liked but was very surprised to end up 3rd on the grid.

Race start was a bit tricky with the damp circuit and the other corvette quickly made its move on me while i was warming my tyres, shortly thereafter connor made his move in the viper while i was napping :)

I managed to find my groove and set about keeping them in sight, was running very well for once with very few mistakes. I knew i had to push as i was on a 3 stopper, but in my 2nd pitstop for some reason my pitcrew did not release me for over 2 minutes and i dropped a lot of places :(

fought my way back up and was up to 7th and closing fast when all the disco's happened, managed to keep pushing and went in for my last pitstop right on nuno's six, was hoping that he would think i was fuelled to the end and i could force a mistake, but it was not to be.

Last pitstop went like clockwork and came out the pits in 2nd 1 minute behind nuno, managed to make up a few secs here and there but had 1 small off track excursion that dropped the gap back to 50 secs, decided to settle on that with 20 mins to go.

Congrats to all the finishers. I know how all the disconnected parties must feel, i regularly suffer the same misfortune due to my local isp's policy of forcing a disconnect at midnight every night to re-allocate ip addresses.

Don, hang in there, I know the feeling.I probably shouldn't have raced at all due too my being sicker than a dog, but I just wanted to run w/you guys. My biggest probelem is trying to stay out of everybody's way. Most of my off's were from moving off line or paying too much attention to my mirrors when the fast guys were comming up on me. I came close to calling it quits also, but darn it, I was going to finish this race!
Only a couple more slide fest's for S3 to be over. I'm really looking forward to S4 and GTR2. I know there are some who think it's just too easy(arcade like), but I think the level of racing will be much better with fewer wrecks from minor mistakes and more finishers.
