Magny-Cours 385k

Well, The pole was great but that’s as good as it got for me, race forecast…rain! On the formation lap I looped it aarrgghh! So b/4 I take the green flag I am in 6th, then I looped it another dozen times during the first stint and then my first pit came up, I opted for the medium slicks b/c the track was drying, all went to plan until Adelaide hair pin, there was traction on the apex and then there wasn’t, looped it again, so I continued on my way hitting my markes exactly where I usually do cross the start finish line and the pit dude says…you lost your splitter, HUH? I am going into turn 1 and you tell me now? Well guess what…the car didn’t turn and for the second race in a row @ magny the tires collect my prancing horses. He’s fired…I am now accepting applications for a new crew chief!

That was a rough day for a lot of people. Coming up to take the green flag and again Tim got discoed, Scott M. hit the wall and blew up, Kent spun out onto the straitaway all before we even got to the start finish line! Then throughout the race I saw people leaving, it was rough out there , a wet track and steady rain that finally quit at about the halfway point. Just before my first pit conor had put a lap on me and not long after that he got discoed
and at that point I think there was 8-9 cars left on the track. A very rough day for alot of the guys. Also my hats off to Casey Valance and Don Hibner man, they were having a real hard time out there and they still finished the race. I ended up on the podium with a win and a 3rd overall. My first enduance win!
