So i know im not the only who hears this? But as soon as a track loads up i get this real annoying sound like a generator going/ or a constant click. The only way i fix it is turn sound effects volume to 0. Anyone know what the problem is? any help will work. What ive done.

I've encountered the same annoying sound - seems to get somewhat softer as you move further away from the pits. As Dustin says, turning the sound effects down does the job. |

I get it when the race session starts and sometimes during quali. Almost sounds like an impact gun on crack and is louder near the S/F/Pits. Atleast for me. I had the problem at Fuji in Fabcar and Mid Ohio in NAGT, Those are the ones that come to mind, Both mods are on separate installs. Needless to say id like to find out what the problem is too. |

Remove or rename wheelguns_x.wav files found in the GameData\Sounds\Ambient folder. |

It's a problem with the rfactor lite install. The crowd noise .wav file in the sounds/ambient folder is incorrect. (it's "fans_normal_1.wav", and in rfactor lite, it's 28kb. If you still have your full rfactor install lying around, you want to copy the fans_normal_1.wav that is 2,647kb over and overwrite the bad one. It's real noticeable at Lienz, because in the city section, the crowd noise is ramped up. |
