The North American Sim Racing League chapter at Race2Play is proud to announce the NASRL Season 10 Session featuring the NAGT mod for rFactor.

Join us on select Sunday nights this fall at 9:30 eastern for eight races beginning Oct 5.

*Note* Enrollment for this series is currently full! Watch for a public announcement in the event any spots become available.

Race Format: The track schedule and race format will be based closely on the actual 2006 Speed World Challenge GT season. Races will be 50 minutes long. To add a little more strategy to the mix, we will run at 2x fuel, making a fuel stop necessary. A 10 minute qualifying session begins at 9:30, followed by a 5 minute warmup, then a formation lap followed by a standing start.

Eligible Vehicles: The full set of NAGT vehicles are available, but no duplicates will be allowed in any race. Before your first race, you must select a single car which will be yours for the entire season. Declare your choice in the NAGT Roll Call thread. Car assignments will be resolved from that thread following the Sep 21 pre-season race. The list of assigned and available cars will be maintained in the Car Assignments thread. Running a car other than your assigned car will result in disqualification from the entered race.

Championship Scoring: Championship points awards will match the actual series: 110, 100, 92, 85, 80, 76, 72, 68, 64, 60, 57, 54, 51, 48, 45, 43, 41, 39, 37, 35, 33, 31, 29, 27, 25, 23, 21, 19, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

R.E.W.A.R.D.S. System: We will mirror the weight penalty/rewards system used in the actual series through the upgrade system built into NAGT. Ballast weight will be added to the top 3 finishers after every race as follows: +50lbs for 1st, +30lbs for 2nd, +10lbs for 3rd. Ballast weight will be removed from 5th through 7th as follows: -10lbs for 5th, -30lbs for 6th, -50lbs for 7th. Drivers finishing in the bottom half of the field may remove 50lbs from their base weight up to a limit of -100lbs. Drivers finishing in the upper half of the field must add 50lbs to their base weight until it reaches 0. You must finish the full race to be eligible for weight adjustment. Weight adjustments will be applied before the assessment of any lap penalties due to rule infractions. Current weight assignments will be maintained in the R.E.W.A.R.D.S. thread. To set your weight, click the "Upgrades" tab in rFactor's vehicle selection screen, and make sure the correct weight penalty upgrade is installed. It is the driver's responsibility to arrive with the correct weight penalty. Racing with less than your assigned weight will result in a 1-lap penalty after the race.

Backup Tracks: Each season, one or more of the tracks in the schedule may be new tracks where we've never raced before. If we have unexpected problems with the track during the week leading up to the race, we may substitute a backup track, which will be an original rFactor layout (not an add-on track). Notice will be given in the chapter and pre-race forums if this happens. Familiarizing yourself with the backup track during your spare time may be to your advantage in the event it gets activated. Our current backup track is: Essington Long.

Membership: NASRL at R2P is an independent chapter. Our races will not be stewarded. Participation is by invitation only, and will be limited to 32 drivers for the series. Please consider whether you will be able to commit to the majority of the events before asking to join up.

Membership is open to guest (free) NasaSimRacing/Race2Play members. NASRL encourages paid membership, most of us find the quantity of racing available and level of support to be well worth the monthly investment. Read more about R2P membership plans here: Membership Plans.

NASRL enjoys near 24/7 server time on an R2P server through race sponsorship. All events for this season have been sponsored, thanks very much everybody!

Rules & Etiquette: NASRL membership is all about clean and courteous racing- drivers are expected to be able to hold their own line, to value a clean close race well above winning at all costs, and to maintain a positive attitude about the inevitable racing incident when it happens.

It will be up to the drivers to request reviews of any racing incidents. Review requests can be sent privately to Michael Kolar. We don't expect to get a lot of review requests- we like to maintain a club atmosphere and encourage on-track behavior and attitudes that won't lead to reviews. A pattern of review-worthy incidents with any particular driver will call some question on whether that driver really belongs in this chapter.

This chapter will follow R2P rules and guidelines. The drive-thru punt rule is in effect; if you touch a car in front of you with the nose of your car, and cause the other driver to spin or leave the track, a drive-through penalty applies, and should be served immediately. If a review is called, failure to serve a drive-thru will result in a one lap penalty.

Required Files: This series requires the NAGT mod, available in the R2P Files Area.

Track downloads can be found in the R2P files area. Download links are also located on each track information page, which is found by following the track name link on each event page. The only additional track download this season is St. Petersburg. A download link is posted in the prerace thread for this event.

Replays: Replays will be available here: R2P Files Area. Thanks to R2P for hosting our replays!

Contact: Contact chapter owner Michael Kolar with any questions, or to request an invitation.

Thanks for stopping by, now let's go racing!
