I have had an hours practice on Evo. Its probably unfair to say too much after such a short period of time. However my first impressions are that its too much like Race 07. Yes I know its essentially an add on.

Graphically there is nothing new, there are too few tracks in my opinion and the driving model is too easy. Its not going to replace GTR 2 for GT racing.

Just my opinion based on first impressions.

** Edit: Read my 3rd post on here, as I had abs and traction control accidentally on before posting this **

I wouldnt know if they are unrealistic or not, having not driven any GT cars. So I use GTR2 as a physics yard stick and they are much easier to drive in comparison

Swings and round-a-bouts I suppose. I can't stand the feel of GTR2 but RACE '07 feels much more realistic. I look forward to giving these a go.

I agree Jon, i liked how Race 07 felt. but i also like GTR2

For me, the basic feel of the Race 07 cars was more realistic than GTR2. My only real life comparison would be my few laps in an XKR-GT3, not much to compare, but it certainly felt more sharp, precise and forgiving (a la Race 07) than the slightly sloppy feel of the GTR2 cars. So if the physics are closer to Race than GTR2, thats a step in the right direction in my opinion.

Oh dear, I am an idiot. I had traction control and ABS on. Its actually not that bad at all once I turned them off. Pretty much comporable now to GTR2. I think the sounds are much improved.

Race 07 add on tracks work with it too. I added Barcelona from nogrip, which is a conversion of the GTR2 Barcelona. I was able to compare this to GTR 2, and did some testing in the Saleen. Its hard to say which is better. I would say that its no worse than GTR 2, but there isnt anything in there that suggests this is an evolution either.

I guess I wanted to be blown away and whilst I am not, I am not too dissapointed either.
