Wow, nicely DONE!!!!! Lots of suspension mods to get her slammed that much!!!! Probably air bag shocks and cut 2-3 springs out of car... It's a 65-67 because there are no front side blinkers. Will have to post this car and find more about it. 20K car without even looking at it. THe way vairs are catching on, there will be no bargains left...I bought my last vair for $1200 and put 3K into it. It was a looker!!!!!

Hey Robert, did you replace the oring seals? They now use Viton oring seals. Chevy used cheap rubber that would dry out in a few thousand miles with there cheap rubber choice. I hope your not complaining or bashing a vair...Why did you drive it around with an exhaust leak? Common sense would be to fix it???? It takes 10 minutes to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on a vair????? and another 10 minutes to find the oil leak, usually the valve cover gasket(6 bolts to remove and replace the gasket) or the oring gaskets?????

Hehe, lookout Robert, don't rattle the cage of the resident Corvair guy :) He can get a little rabid if you're not careful!

My uncle had one when he was young, said he went around a corner at 30 mph and the thing rolled right over into a ditch on the side of the road. He climbs out and is standing there looking at it when a farmer drives up on his tractor, asks my uncle if he wants the car pulled out of the ditch. My uncle replies he can have the thing for $50- the guy gave him cash and my uncle walked home :)

LOL HUTCH!!!! He must of had one of the early models with the "faulty" rear ends...Many of the cars from 60-63 had that "faulty" rear. Mr Green power pointed that out in his infamous book. Chevy fixed the "problem" in 64. By then the writing was on the wall. The Camaro and the Mustang had twice the HP and where selling for less than what the vair was selling at. The vair in it's days was a high $$$ car.
By 1964-65's the corvair had corvette suspension all the way around and was very competetive in SCCA and autocross.
How many 40+ year old cars are still competetive on track and autocross courses...Just a handfull and the Corvair is one of them!!!!

Long Live the VAIR!!!!
