Well, quite an odd post for my standards. As normally happens, i was watching alien videos on youtube, and eventually got sucked in to just watching more and more for hours. Until i stumbled across a video about the world ending in 2012 because the Mayans said so. Anyway, as what happened to the alien videos, i found myself searching about this 2012 stuff. Apparently, in the 80's we sent up a message including our DNA type to the stars. We got a reply in the form of crop circles with some weird DNA type, lots of pictures, and a message saying something along the lines of: "dont trust the present givers. They tell lies and mean harm. We mean no harm.." and so on. Anyhow, apparently we all die on December 21st 2012. What the hell is going on here??!!! We were all meant to die in 2000 when the sun blew up, and now, all on December 21st 2012, a meteor is meant to have a 1 in 90000000 chance of blowing us all up. The Mayan calender ends, and the sun is perfectly aligned with the galaxy or something. What are your guys thoughts on this? I find it spooky how everything adds up to one date, but i also find it very confusing. |

That has been the belief for thousands of years by a lot of people and it is fairly supported by historical facts. The real interesting thing though, is how the heck the Mayans came across such mathematical and astronomical knowledge. We, as modern humans, only gained those skills within the past couple hundred years, yet they knew thousands of years ago? That is cool. |

Yeah i see what your saying Tim. Its fascinating to me, its just so confusing. Its as if the Mayans are so clever humans have actually gone back in time, rather than forwards. I bet the Mayans weren't clever enough to invent sim racing though! Andrew, is the 2012 thing in indiana jones? Spooky! |

Yup, the world is gonna end on 12/21/12. So don't plan on getting into a relationship or work towards a career by going to college. Shit, if you're in your teens now, what's the point of going to school? Or getting a job? Or saving money for retirement? It's all moot, since the Mayan calender completes on that date, life as we know it just has to end, right? FWIW, the Mayans had other (albeit, smaller) calenders as well. Why this one recieves all the attention and gets perpetuated by Western civilization into the mark of doomsday is beyond me... |

Maybe I could use that to get out of school tomorrow Conor... Don't think the parents would buy it.
I've always said that If I die the day I get out of college, then all that school will be worth nothing. :-) 12/21/12... all one's and twos.

Lol Conor. Great post xD If it was just the calendar i wouldn't care at all. its just all the other stuff. The aliens, the meteor which is supposed to blow us all up, and the sun perfectly aligning with the galaxy or something. Maybe you'll go to bed and wake up in a ferrari p4, ripping down the le man straight waiting to take the victory, the crowd roars, your almost there... Then you wake up and the world implodes on itself. yay. |

Listen to Coast to Coast AM sometime, they talk about this and other interesting (far out, NWO conspiracy, paranormal, spiritual, alien plots/realities, and bullshit) stuff.
I have heard about 5 different opinions on 2012 by listening to C2C, great stuff. - 2012 the universe ends.
etc etc etc... like I said great stuff. I'm not too worried but just incase... I'll be spending quality time with a nice lady and a bottle of booze around that time ;p |
