Just curious about something, here. I have noticed that sometimes as soon as a race is finished the results are up within minutes and the post-race comments are open for commenting. Other times I have noticed that the results might take longer to get posted, but the post-race discussion opens up before they are imported. Other times, I have seen the results get posted but the post-race comments still locked for some time. I am just curious what the criteria is that enables post-race discussion. Is it simply an automated system which opens them up X minutes after the race is expected to finish? Is it something that stays manually locked until the admin is satisfied with the import having been done correctly? I assume since it occasionally opens before the results are up, it must not be the latter. Thanks |

Time based automation based on the race start time. Gives everyone a few minutes of cool-down before they are able to make a post. However, in longer races (ones lasting more then one hour-ish) you may see post-race discussion before the race even ends. |

In such a case I just write my report in Notepad and save it, so I don't see any real benefit with the delay. It's just an annoyance. |

The reason for the delay is simply that I got tired of seeing the very first posts always from the sourpusses who DNF'd on lap 3. Like Tim said, let them cool down while the rest of the guys finish the race. |
