It appears there may be a slight misunderstanding of the punt rule and how it is enforced. The policy clearly states that it is intended for the first lap only. There are no automatic penalties for any lap beyond the first. While the rule itself was originally intended for our road racing, it has still been applied to the oval races in the exact same manner; First lap only.

Any "punt" after lap-1 is left up to the drivers. A protest can be filed or the two drivers can work it out between themselves, privately. I urge anyone to file a proper protest if a rule has been broken. You will be heard fairly based on the written rule, not emotional distress.

Making an inflammatory post in the post-race discussion is not a proper protest and will go ignored to the extent of it being a valid protest. However, YOU will receive a penalty for violation of our conduct rules if you choose to make inflammatory or derogatory posts or chat comments during or after an event.
