This thread is for discussing my spreadsheet: LapTimeAnalysis.xls I think it gets downloaded as a Word Document, but just choose Save As then change the file extension to .xls and it will open up fine. It creates the formulas to analyze each corner and each straight. Basically, it uses the fastest lap time to determine what is possible, then calculates the difference between what is possible and the fastest time out of the entire session on that corner or straight. Just turning the fastest lap doesn't mean every corner or straight was the fastest. The corners or straights which have the largest differences (without a large std dev meaning you may have spun or something) is where you need the most work. Sometimes manually editing the formulas to remove laps where you have spun might help. Here's an image of a sample analysis.
