Hey, I like the new format! And I'm usually resistant to change on that page :)

When I view an item and then press the back button it is still there now? I have to constantly refresh the page?

Changes are great btw.

Sorry, but I disagree. The Daily Portal looks a complete mess, way too fussy. Also very easy to hit the Unregister button when on the drop down list. And where are you going to put those important note thingys now?
Also hate that it doesn't default to Group posts.

I noticed that there's a confirmation dialog when you hit unregister, so not really a big deal, that. It works for me. I guess the only thing you could do to please everyone is allow setting the default section to show on a per-user basis or save state so that when you go to user_portal you always see the one that was visible last.

Don't want to sound ungrateful but IMHO I would prefer less changes in page layouts and such unless correcting obvious shortcomings.

Yes I agree about defaulting to Group posts.

Apart from the fact the page does not update when I go back the rest looks nice to me.

I would like to see the ability to click on "Events" providing the list of races as per before rather than the dropdown, but not a biggie, rest is fine by me.

Chris, using your browsers "back" button will show you 'old' information on any web page. Either navigate forward to the page or set your browser to hold no cache so it is forced to refresh the pages even when using "back".

It'll now default to the first tab with content; i.e. If there are no Messages it'll open to Groups, and so on.

I tend to think the new layout is both simpler and more useful than the old. Give any change a day and we'll see.

The biggest hang for me was having the rest of the events listing relegated to that dropdown menu ... It was the right tool at the moment, but I may revisit that if new inspiration strikes.
