The season is coming to an end. The amount of people racing have dropped dramatically since the first season.

But it's been good fun and I still love to drive these old cars :-)

It might be time to look for something else. I'm looking forward to the f1 1985 mod. If you haven't done so already ,install it and check it out. It's brilliant:

f1 1985

Let me hear your opinions. Should we call it a day and close down the chapter ? Or maybe set it up for something different ? As long as it's historic cars I'm all ears :-)

How about these:

BMW M1 Procar

Historic GT and touring cars

If not F1 1985, then the F1 1988 mod is very good. I still struggle to attend these events because of the timing, but if you were to use the 1988 mod I would be very inclined to tell my commitments to bugger off!

I've thought about the 88 mod as well. Tried it a couple of times ,but don't like it much to be honest. Maybe I need to give it another chance.
The f1 85 mod however is just my kind of thing :-)

1988 for good quality overall and few gfx resources needed
or HistorX, one of the 3 best mod ever
(but waiting with all my wishes PrototypeC)

OK,seems like I need to get back to testing the 88 mod then :-)
And I agree, the historic GT mod is one of the best ever for rfactor. Amazing quality (but it sucks that they messed up ALT-tab'ing )

my only request has to do with scheduling.

Mike and i plan to do the modern F1s in S9, so a schedule that conflicts as little as possible with them would be greatly appreciated.

as for the mod...

as much as i like the GP79s, it does feel like it's time for a change, but i have no preference at this point.

I have chosen the mod 1988. Though modes 1979 simply excellent.

Hi
I am really interested in coming back with you guys in an historical mod, i will try the 85, 88 and procar mods and will get back to you for my prime choice, but ,i think it's going to be the 85 mod if the sounds are good cause i like old F1 as long as they are not too fragile. again Christian, if it's possible to have less fragile cars, i think that attendency could be better, cause we only want to be able to carry on even after a small mistake...
more to follow...

i'm back... the 85 mod is a blast in the sound department WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! but it's very brutal on accel and hard to handle...for now anyway, like said earlier, the 88 is also more a blast than before and really enjoyed it too, so any of thoses 2 are a go for me :) :) :)

The '88 mod has much improved since they updated it. I've also found that the default Differential settings are utter crap for it. Once you move everything closer to 50% the cars come alive. Particularly if you're into heel and toeing!
