There is an opportunity to host GTPC races at a later time slot in Season 9, which would have the race start at 7:30pm GMT (12:30pm Pacific/3:30pm Eastern) Upside- Overlaps only one series, F1. And it wouldn't necessarily mean all F1 races will be overlapped. Downside- Later Euro time, middle of the day for USA folks. Keeping GTPC at the current slot or slightly earlier will continue to overlap other R2P series. (Attendance has still been steady though.) I would also plan on spreading out the races back to every 2 weeks (maybe 3), with maybe just 1 back-to-back week. With summer approaching, I am not counting on attendance to be as high. (I am also getting the California summertime blues and have not been putting in as much practice.) |

I agree, I hardly got any practice for Sugo, thats why I dropped out of it at the last minute. Every 2 weeks would be great. |

My vote is to start the races 30-45 min earlier. Getting done at noon feels like i've lost most of my Sunday. If it were to start any later i'm afraid you would only see me in the winter months. |

I have another race starting just after this one ends, so I vote for it to stay as it is. Otherwise no problems. Tom |

This 19:30 GTM time slot would be fine for me during summer time (except august, when I'm out on vacation). |

Be nice if you could alternate weeks with the Fabcar series, then for me current time slot is OK, but could still make the later one suggested. |

With summer basically here, I'm predicting attendance to taper off a bit. Recently, a handful of regulars have emailed me indicating they are taking a break/cutting back from GTPC, but would like to return for some S9 races. With that in mind and R2P schedule adjustments for S9, I am thinking of cutting back a bit for July and August, perhaps running just 1 race in each month, then going back to 2 races in September and eventually spilling over a bit into October. I wouldn't mind a little extra breathing room- the summertime blues always get the best of me! Also, a 2-class Le Mans Prototype mod is near completion,which I hope to introduce soon. The 'plan' for this chapter is run 2-hour+ endurance races, but only every 3-4 weeks...... and extend invitations for more higher ranked, experienced drivers. |
