Just wanted to mention that I was having graphics glitches/artifacts while playing ArmA. These problems werent present while playing rFactor or GTR2.
I decided to try loading the Omega video drivers for nVidia GPU's. I used to run them for my ATI GPU's with great results. Well, the difference was fantastic, all problems cleared up and ArmA is running better than ever with smooth and much higher FPS than before the problem started. If anyone is having graphics problems, I suggest you try the Omega drivers, they really made a difference for me! Now I'm going to try Crysis, that s/b the test!!! Dan |

I have never had any problems with them when I used them on my ATI GPU's. He optimizes them for best gaming performance and has been doing so for many years. I'm only recommending them for those who may be having graphics problems. You can always uninstall them and go back to your original drivers. By the way, Crysis FPS is great (35-65 avarage FPS) and with a special script that allows DX10 effects in XP! In one area (the docks where you have to take out the last AA emplacement) my FPS used to go down into the low teens when the action got real heavy. Now it's in the mid 20's at the lowest, quit an improvement I'd say. Dan |

I use them for my 8800. I tested them against 169.21 nvidia. I saw more frames and much smoother play in GTR2. I tested on Adelaide with all maxed except shadows(high). The frame per second low number (at the back of 25 cars on grid) went from 35fps with stock to 41fps with the Omega. The game is silky smooth as well. I was also using nhancer prior to the Omega driver. Whether it was the driver or lack of nhancer, GTR2 performs a lot better. I also tested clocks. Started at 515/1700 and went to 575/1800 and saw more frame improvement with the driver than clocks. I also was able to maintain higher artifact free clocks with new drivers.
