Well my copy of ARCA arrived yesterday, and it is great. I didn't realize how similar it would be to rFactor, which is good in that I don't have to worry about learning anything really new. I haven't worked on Setups yet, but so far the cars feel a lot nicer to drive. The one thing I haven't been able to get just right is the steering, it feels a little loose, like there is a lot of deadzone programed. I have to turn it a lot more for anything to happen, so I'm still working on that. Played in a few public server races, which aren't bad and there are plenty of them, so I was happy with that. But I'm looking forward to this game. I'm also looking for any open wheel oval races, so far there might be on at Martinsville on Monday, not set up yet, but if you guys find any others let me know, especially open wheel races. |

Yeah it is kinda nice that it is very similar to rfactor. The default setups are really good. They have said that the default setups are only 7 clicks away from being perfect. What steering wheel do you have? I have a G25 and found a guys setup for the wheel on RSC and it worked pretty good. I need to go through and fine tune everything but it still felt good. Here is the settings I used for my G25: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=312932 I am having a lot of fun with it. I haven't been able to run it like I would like but the few fun runs I have done were really fun. |
