Not sure if you guy's ever ran these tracks, but I came up with a list of tracks I'd like to see ran. Maybe in a later season perhaps.

Just throwing these out there.

Mugello
A1 ring
Adelade or some other street curcuit
Nogaro
Suzuka
Johor(Malaysia)
Jarama
Adria
Mid ohio
Lemans 67
Vairano
Indy Road course
Daytona road course (if a reliable version ever comes out)

Anyways, just a couple I've only fiddled with.

A1 ring was the final race of the First GTPC season.

Charles has got a theme going for GTPC, so when GTPC goes to North America, you should see some of those tracks, and likewise when it goes to Asia, Europe and beleive Africa aswell

Aaron, thanks for the suggestions!

Mugello: is on the list for Season 9 (European tour)

A1 Ring: we ran last season, the final race

Adelaide: is on the list for Season 8 (night race!)

Nogaro: Neel Jani's correct? Tested briefly. I think it may have frame issues. I look into it again. It's been a while.

Suzuka: Looks nice. But possible frame issues. Also, as cool as it is, just doesn't seem very "raceable", being all narrow. Could be a fun-run type race.

Johor: is on the list for Season 8

Jarama: Season 9 contender. But the latest version (2.1 I think) has possible CTD issues. Will look into it.

Adria: Haven't tested yet.

Mid Ohio: Latest version looks very nice, models many of the bumps making it very challenging. Has a bug or two. I'll reinvestigate.

Lemans 67: Actually tested both 1967 and 2004. Those big, big tracks have something weird with them. We can look into it for a possible endurance race.

Vairano: Haven't tested yet. Let's look into it.

Indy Road Course: Just ran it in February. (Frickin computer locked up on me late in the race while I was in 2nd.) It was a big turnout and a great race.

Daytona RC: The N2LO version is the only one I know of, but GTR 2 doesn't seem to model banked turns very well.

Actually, another track I looked at is Homestead, full course, without the banking.

My goal for 2008 is to run the "world tour", focusing on different regions in each season. North/South America Season 7, Asia/Australia Season 8, Africa/Europe Season 9. Season 10 could be the "best of" each season, along with any other new tracks.

EDIT: Heinz: Kayalami... NIGHT... in season 9!

Thats great I didnt realize you guys ran some of these already.
I see what you have going on now. Like a world tour.

Anyway, I was just shouting some tracks there were out off my head. It is true that they need to be tested because they all have some sort of bug or 2.

Aaron, to answer your question from the Interlagos thread and this thread. I test these add-on tracks quite extensively. I don't just grab any track and slap it on the schedule as most GTR 2 add-ons have bugs. Most add-ons for GTR 2 are converted through the many sims- GPL, rfactor, nascar, etc- which basically equates to crap half of the time. Buenos Aires is the only track we have run this season that I know is scratch built.

And to clarify "testing" a track, I am going through a checklist (guidance from Tim and few others) to make sure the track is functional: S/F lights, pitlane lights, timing is correct and accurate, at least 32 grid spots, no weird quicksand areas, invisible walls, etc... the list goes on. I am NOT working on setups, trust me. Checking the functionality of a track is a pain but necessary. The bigger the track, the more time it takes. But just because a certain track works on my computer, doesn't necessarily guarantee it will work on others which is why I need everyone else's feedback if a bug is found.

Most of the tracks we are running come straight from NoGripRacing. The only track I modified in S7 was Sebring- the number of laps to meet 90 minutes. I had to alter a few tracks for Season 8. Another reason we should use the track posted at the chapter, instead of NoGrip or anywhere else, to avoid mismatches online.

And yes, our Interlagos is the one from NoGrip and is not altered so you are pretty much safe if you already have it.

IMHO one important thing you need to keep in mind when considering tracks is that GTPC is about multiclass racing. If the track is narrow and very twitchy with plenty of medium to slow curves it will have some effect on race outcome. This is because faster class cars will not have equal opportunities to lap slower class cars any some may have to wait a bit to get pass.

I am uploading the Season 8 tracks to my ftp:// this afternoon. Everyone will be able to download them and check 'em out.

Johan, I agree. Buenos Aires was an example of a nice track, but a little close for comfort in some areas. Most of Season 8 tracks are "roomier/racier" than in the past. Not all, but most. Sugo and Johor can get narrow in some spots.

I also tested Fuji 07. It has frame issues and some grip issues. Also, I think the pacecar was parked in pitbox 1 or 2!!
