Hey, i was wondering what you all think about Cockpits. im considering getting one, *store bought either Obutto or EVO play seat* Just wondering if there worth all the trouble? or is it just more for immersion .. im doing the desk thing now like pretty much everybody, i have built a little ramp for my pedals to sit on, so there not flat on the ground.

to sum it all up, i have around 300 bucks to spend, and im debating a cockpit seat or a Buttkicker cause my old one burned up..

Thanks in advance

Shane

A cockpit won't make you faster but it may be more comfortable and immersive.

You can check out Frex GP for a quality design.

Or, you can spend a few bucks to get a good set of pedals to actually help you improve your laptimes.

These things are highly adjustable and have very good brake modulation with the progressive dual spring design. They make a version that plugs right into your momo. I've had these for a couple of years now. They are indestructable.

I've considered a cockpit, but I just don't have the space.

lol, Im using a wooden chair,
the $300 chairs last me a year then welds (tacs) start breaking, and Im no fat ass. Was ready to spend the $1000 on a commercial office chair, but now Im not sure what to do.
When I race for over an hour my back kills me.
(and I dont have back problems)

I want to be comfortable, especially for the 1 1/2 hr races. And I am going to need a wheel and pedals very soon
also.
