The Formula 1 series requires a compatibility update to the F1'05 addon. The changes are as follows:
- Adjusted parc-ferme so that the fuel load you begin the qualifying session with will be the fuel you will start the race with.
- Adjusted tire wear and grip drop-off for all three compounds.
- Tire changes allowed during race, though you are still forced to use the same compound you used in qualifying.
- Allowable brake disc size increased to resolve brake failure issues
- Pit timing has been adjusted to more realistic levels. Mainly the fuel fill rate set to 12 liters per second instead of 18 liters per second.

This update will cause you to mismatch to other servers running F1'05 "Server Edition" so please plan accordingly.

Are tire changes possible during the actual qualifying session? Is it now like real F1 qualifying where you burn off as much fuel as possible and then put on fresh tires for a final run before time runs out? I doubt it, but just want to be 100% sure.

Others are on it without mismatch, so I'd say make sure you do not have another Montreal track installed.

No, no other track isntalled. Had to reformat the computer a couple weeks ago, so install is bare bones with no add ons except CTDP.

***the gdb file in my install says it's from 6/15/07, but allother files are from '06.

Thanks Steve, it works now. No idea at all why my original file was different to yours and others.

Just so I am clear:

Parc Ferme means the setup I start Qual with will be the setup I have in the race. So if I start qual with 1 rad, 1 brake duct, and 2 gallons of fuel, that's the setup I am stuck with for the race? Do I start the race with the same tires I used in qual (meaning if I load up my race setup but drive the heck out of it in qual and abuse the tires, I start the race with worn tires)?

With the tire change rule, I am assuming that means I can start the race on Mediums and do a long stint, and then change my compound to softs for my last stint?

Sorry for the questions, I am having a hard time understanding parc ferme, it seems to be different every place I race...
