In the 'Basic' course, we will start with, well... the basics in both driver and setup development;
- Driving lines and hitting your marks
- Car feedback
- Setup development: Springs & Anti-roll bars

NOTES;
- Check in at the schedule time, do not be late please.
- A short discussion period will be followed by 10 minutes of track time at which time all participants will discuss the track time with the Mentors.
- Track time will be run in groups. In other words, we do want everyone to go on track together and stay together to practice running around other cars.
- The course will be broken into 4 to 5 smaller segments, as mentioned above, each focusing on specific items.
- The HPDT session will run from roughly 60 minutes in length. Following the course, participants are welcome to run a short race if they wish.

I had a chance to practice the Course 1 "hitting the marks" at Brno last night in the Elise. I believe I'm slower right now as I try to kill some bad habits but will improve as I learn to put the car in the correct position on the track. I hit my marks maybe 1/2 the time last night. When I did the car shot off the apex like a rocket with no push or lose condition. Thanks Tim, Tommy C and Conor. I'm looking forward to the next class. For those of you who don't have a premium membership this class alone is worth the money.

I agree, this series alone is well worth the standard or premium membership here. After Tuesday's class I decided to upgrade to Premium.

Thanks for doing this guys, it can't be that much fun for you and that makes it even cooler that your doing it. What I learned on Tuesday was enough to get me down to 1:17.5 after an hour or so of practice, with spring and ARB changes only. I believe that was close to the top times, which has never happened for me here before.

Thanks for helping us out, this is going to make sim racing more enjoyable for me I think :)

You want to prevent both versions of 'bottoming' in a stable and predictable setup

How do I know in rFactor if my suspension is bottoming?

Feel and testing. I do not think there is anything that tells you specifically. What I do is to always try my setup with a little more ride height just to see if the car likes it better over very low height. You will be amazed.

Bad news. I'm a thick-skinned guy and can't feel anything in my car :( That's why I can't develop my setups and doomed (or blessed? :) ) to use other's.

I thought maybe there is a way to know it through telemetry.
