Are there any Panoz templates out yet? |

You forgot the // after the "ftp:" in the text. If someone was setting it up manually and they copy/pasted, it wouldn't work. |

Thanks Tim. Got another question, now regarding rFactor skins in general. Looking through the Panoz files, I see no skins folder, just a few .dds and .veh files. There are skin folders for F1 and a few other mods but none for Panoz. Am I missing something again? |

.DDS files of some mods are in .MAS files. Use this utility to open .MAS files and export/import .DDS files. |

Conor, I just have to create a SKINS folder and rFactor takes care of the rest :-) |

Exactly. I don't know what you're racing, but let's just go with this example for the Panoz ALMS: Go to c:\\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\Panoz\espALMS. Let's say you chose to make a skin for the #15 car for the "American Motors" team. Just make a "SKINS" folder inside the American Motors folder, then inside the SKINS folder place your .dds file. With the .dds file, insert a normal .txt file with the following: Description="Whatever... Conor's New Skin, for example" Painter="Optional, but if you want to credit someone for the skin, then include this, too" The game does the rest. Just click on the Skins tab in the customization screen, choose "Conor's New Skin" or whatever you named it in the .txt file, and voila. If you want to make it specific for each car if the team has multiple cars, then you name it after the main .dds. Example: Skins for ALMS_15 becomes ALMS_15skins or something along those lines. |
