Race report
Spa Masters on Feb 21, 2010
Car: Lamborghini. Class: GT. Start: 1. Finish: 1. Laps: 36.

A great race at the front, with strategy being part of the game. I assume both Heinz and Darren did change only 2 tyres? I pitted two laps later though, so together with the Lambo using more fuel, I could've lost part of the time there too.

I got pole on a wet track for quali. At the start I could get away ok despite having Brian's F575 "inside" my car LOL really odd thing.

I pushed for the first 10 laps and I had around 8 seconds on Joco in P2. Later on I decided to take it easy, saving tyre and just a bit of fuel to make it a 20-lap 1st stint, hoping that my 6 or 7 second advantage would just be reduced after the pitstops. But with Darren and Heinz having very fast pitstops I rejoined just behind them!

We had a good battle, I saw Heinz passing Darren, then in the bus stop Darren got the exit wrong and I could go through to P2. Heinz was 3 seconds away, I cut the gap and we were soon fighting for the lead. But with the Lambo not being competitive on top speed I needed a mistake from Heinz or a perfect slipstream after Eau Rouge.

Eventually Heinz put a wheel into the grass after that corner and I could get right behind. When I got out of the slipstream to overtake his car was gaining advantage on me again LOL but I braked very late on the inside and after doing Les Combes side by side I took the lead, with 3 laps to go I think.

A great race! Grats podium :)
