Race report
Intro to Extreme GT on Jan 14, 2007
Car: Ferrari 550. Class: GT. Start: 12. Finish: 8. Laps: 52.

If you all sucked it would have been a bit more fun, lol. For me in the middle of the pack it wasnt so boring. Until I signed up for this event I had never been to Estoril, I was surprised how challenging a circuit it is. Having had about an hour on the track prior to the race my result was decent enuff. Keeping my car out of the outfields and healthy enough to finish a 90 min event was challenge enough for me.

Anyways, unlike last time this was pretty rewarding for me. I enjoyed the respect and careful and considerate edicot that the racers have shown, it will be tough to race the chaotic public servers again. Lastly, if anyone would consider me as a team mate I would be enthusiastic about learning from some of you, I think I have the discipline but my car setups need to be much better understood and track braking markers and all that, anyways great racing with you guys looking forward to the next one here at R2P!

FYI: A couple of interesting things happened to me that I'd like to share; maybe somebody has similiar prolems. After Q2 I went to warm up and found my G25 controller was not responding at any of the mapped functions, no throttle, no start, no turn, no nothing. The keyed maps were there but not recognised and remapping wasnt being recognised, I would attempt to remap but it left the keyed map blank....? Anyways I went to the acual controller in the game utility, picked the G25 and went back out, again no response, I exited the track went back to the in game mapping utility, and had to remap everything, I got back out to the start of the race with soemthing like 30 seconds remaining, whew that was stressful. Another strange thing also, when coming into pits I would slow, use the throttle limiter but when I rolled over the pits threshold my motor would stop and thus required being restarted, this happened at both my Pit stops and resulted in prolonged stops, whats up with that?

Stewards: Thanks for the patience this time, I was trying very hard to keep it all undercontrol and in between the white lines. With exception of a few stupid offs it was 90 min of 'extreme' diligence, I've never been that deep into any race ever, 90 min is a long, long time!

Thanks again.
