Well, I completely forgot about the race, and was practicing another mod for a league race. :)

I remembered, joined the server with 2 minutes in warmup, starting at the back. I gassed up the setup in my garage, and got ready to go... Unfortunately, the setup I had loaded was one I was just trying out the other night, and it was horribly unstable, and I didn't mean to run it. :( I was running 1:34s and 1:35s, hanging on for dear life! I was running 1:31-1:32 in just a few laps of practice the other day. Anyway...

I tried to get through the traffic as cleanly as possible, so I hope I didn't mess anyone up. Everyone was pretty courteous though! I worked my way up to 5th. I was happy with that. I saw Kent Welker must have pitted, and was about 6 seconds back, and gaining pretty steadily. The setup was crap, and I was scrolling through the LC to see how many laps were left, and to see if I had a shot at holding him off. While looking at the LCD, missed my braking point at the end of the long backstretch, and took a ride through the lawn into the fence, and was done. lol

Anyway, for showing up at the last minute, and having the wrong setup loaded, I did OK. :) I just hate having a DNF... :)
