After qualifying second in class I thought this might be a rare night with a podium pay-off. But my luck ran out pretty quickly - on lap 3 I one of the tires at the apex of turn 3.
I flipped the bug but was able to continue to the pits. After getting tires and doing repairs I thought I would at least be able to salvage a finish and some points, but I violated the pit speed limit. I then tried to serve my penalty 3 times, but clearly was doing something wrong because it wouldn't register. Not surprisingly, after my 3 lap I got a DQ.
It was a big disappointment considering how confident I was feeling early on. Oh well... better luck next time.
Great job Glenn! Congrats on the podium finish!
