Wow. I can't believe I actually signed up for that! ;-)
This was really a battle of concentration and mental fatigue, if anything.
I ran some decent times in practice, so I felt comfortable, and was only just focusing on finishing this beast. If I got a good result, then it'd be a bonus.
Qual went kinda bad. I did 1 okay lap, and then 2nd lap I tagged the wall going into turn 4, and blew the front left. I didn't wanna crab-walk all the way around and ruin people's laps - so I turned the car off.
Race start was...okay. There was a lot of stop/go/stop/go on the formation part. We finally got going, and that's when the fun began. Going into the slow right hander before the back fast section I 'just' clipped the rear of a spun Steve Taylor. It was partially my fault there, I saw him spun and I didn't do the best at avoiding. So no problem Steve!
Apparently, it was enough to puncture the front right, so I had to limp back to the pits. Down in last place, coming out 30 sec back, I started gaining time, but then I went off in the middle sector - at a turn I haven't really had trouble with, and I met a tree with the front left lol, which punctured that tire. Pit in, yet again. Lost more time there.
The rest of the race was managing tires and just trying not to go flying off cliffs or crashing the car terminally.
I was able to keep it on the black stuff the rest of the distance, but the car was just so damaged that the pace really dropped off, and along with the concentration.
During the 2nd stint, in the middle sector my graphics took a MAJOR dump. Screen froze for probably 15 seconds at least as I was coming up on a 3rd gear right hander. I am amazed that the car didn't get destroyed or anything happened there. Graphics were not a problem after that.
Missed out on a podium, but I don't really mind. I am proud and glad that I was able to finish here.
Easily one of the most difficult races for me. My hands hurt, my eyes hurt, and my head hurt lol. I was glad when it was over.
Congrats to all the class winners, and to Steve on the podium too :)

Rather pleased with how that went. Pace was good, and hit a PB in quali. Not sure where that time came from, and bugged me it was so close to Mike's time, but that's what makes it fun.
Start was decent. Artur was quick off the line and surprised me with his initial pace. He got me by turn 3, and I knew I had to get by him rather quickly if I was to keep close to Mike. I was able to make a clean pass after the long straight, and tried to reel Mike in. Not much doin' with that. We ran similar laptimes, and the traffic was about the same for both of us.
In the Euro race today my pace sort of faded during the middle part of the race, and it seemed to do that again here. Not sure if that was setup or just me. Thankfully, both times though - the pace returns for the final part of the race. I ran out of time though in the end to even challenge for the lead.
Sad to see Luiz had to unregister. I think he was the first person on the waiting list. I'm no math whiz, but I think that buttoned up the points lead for me.
Congrats to the finishers. The car was tricky here.

Felt pretty confident with the setup I ran with. This car is almost always a total bitch - so I was happy with that!
Quali was a little bunched up the first few laps, and couldn't quite get over the line at the end to do another. Maybe I could have, but it was so close, I couldn't tell.
Race start was decent. I wasn't sure what/where Simon went and I'm usually pretty lazy and slow on the first few laps. So I lost positions.
Simon and I believe - Carl... Got by. I ran close to him a lap or two, and unfortunately he lost his car coming out of a turn, so I breezed by.
As Simon said I caught up with him with the clear track, and he made a mistake running wide, so I was able to get by fairly easily. Was hoping for more of a fight than that! But I'll take it :-P
Zak and Mike were too far ahead for me to do anything, and the pace sort of washed away in the middle part of the race, but toward the end I got in a nice groove and was able to pull fastest lap - just.

Congratulations to Dima on the race win today, and also for winning the championship!
My race was pretty crap really lol, as was the qualifying session.
I have no clue what it is, if it's the variable weather or what, but the ambient temperature jumps from session to session are so wacky and dramatic.
Anyway - quali was crap due to engine overheating and dropping the rad opening. So I only did 3 laps and parked it.
Forecast for the race was Rain, and track was wet, so I started on the wets hoping for a completely wet race and it to be quite wet, but it wasn't really the case. And by about 11 min left the skies cleared and my pace dropped off a cliff into the 18s and 19s. So i was fortunate to hold onto 5th with everyone else basically gaining on me.
Not the best way to finish the series out lol but what can ya do! I didn't feel on the pace during practice anyway. So. Better luck next time! My first Race07 series completed and I feel I did well.
Hopefully we'll have another go in these cars or maybe the higher bhp ones.
Thanks to CMC for the series and everyone that took part. Some fun moments.

Pretty good, considering.
I was hoping for Top 5, and achieved that - So I'm happy. The pace of the top guys was just too good for me. I was capable of running in the 1m32s but it was so few and far between for me.... I ran 1m33s steady for the race for the most part.
Start was actually quite good. I got the jump on Mike and Bernardo so I slotted in 2nd for the first lap. Into turn 1 On lap 2, I lost a position to Mike doing a late dive on the inside of turn 2. As I was closing the door (much to my surprise) Bernardo decided there was room for him to make a clean pass there. I don't know what happened. We made contact and I lost the rear. Spun sideways, and caused a bit of a backup there. Lost the position to him there. Not sure if he should have given that back...due to contact. I will review the replay and see if I should appeal. To me the pass was ill-fated.
Anyway, down in 4th I was, and then we come up on the 2nd chicane and there's a beached car on the kerb. There was an odd car off the to the right, but I didn't even notice it was Conor until the next lap when timing said I was 3rd.
Ran in 3rd for a bit, but Conor was about 1 second quicker than me, so I didn't put up a fight with him, hoping he could regain positions because of whatever happened with him.
Ran in 4th for the rest of the race. 33s fairly consistently.
Proud of Steve's pace, and MDB's final result. It was very nice to walk away from here with that. I *hate* this track and I'm glad it's done with for the championship.
