Race report
CART: Michigan on Nov 04, 2008
Car: Champcar '94. Class: CART 94. Start: 2. Finish: 2. Laps: 100.

What a great race. Tom and I had a race all of our own going for 100 laps. With about 40 to go, I realized fuel would be an issue so i started playing with fuel settings. Dropped back to 5 seconds behind and realized I still wouldn't have enough, so I punched it to make sure Tom didn't either :-).

Pitted with a clean entry and exit, with 2 to go I saw Tom slowing so I was sure I had it as I was passing him at 230 before he had even gotten into the pits, then he spins. Bringing out the caution. With 2 to go on the same lap, he has to pit for fuel, essentially handing me the win.

However, I spun coming to the checkers. The man who deserved the race crossed before me. Might have been an accident, might have been intentional. The results tell the tale though.

Great race Tom and thank you all for your support of the series.
