Race report
Vintage GT: Warwick Farm on Mar 07, 2010
Car: Abarth. Class: P&G. Start: 1. Finish: 20. Laps: 6.

That was a tough way to go down. That disco seals my fate in the championship. Shame it had to come down to a hardware failure. It's ironic too considering just 30 minutes earlier Eduardo and I were wishing each other good luck in the remainder of the races and hoped nothing like this would happen to each other. I'm not bitter. He drove very, very well and deserves to win. It's amazing how quickly he can come up to speed.

During practice, I thought we'd have a real barn burner of a race with Edaurdo, Pedro, Gary and I within a tenth of each other. I didn't expect to come away with the pole during quali. Each of us was a bit slower in the quali session; probably due to differing track conditions.

Pedro and Eduardo were right on my tail at the beginning of the race. Gary dropped back for some reason? Lap 4, Pedro dropped the left rear over the curbing in that fast right before the straight and went across the track drivers right into a barrier. This left Eduardo and I to fight it out. Lap 5, my computer decided to do some kind of intensive processing forcing my frame rate to very low numbers. My screen was stuttering. From Eduardo's perspective, this was an opportune time to get along side and pass me. I must have been driving like a turtle with the screen freezing. We drove side by side for 3 corners before I went a bit wide to let him through. At this point, I would have been thankful for a 2nd with my computer acting up. The next lap, I disco'd.

How did the Lotus Elites climb up the ladder? Pit strategy?
