Race report
rFBMW: Silverstone on Jan 06, 2009
Car: Formula BMW. Class: FBMW. Start: 8. Finish: 11. Laps: 22.

Another really fun race. I was never expecting a high finishing spot because I never really put the practice laps in to be up there. But it still turned out to be a great race.

Got a good start and made up one place, but a couple of turns later I was flying through the air as I got tagged lol. The marshals managed to flip me back on to my wheels though so I was soon underway again but now was dead last.

From then on I was charging around and was having some really good battles along the way to my target of a top ten finish.

Had fun following David after his drive through while we were both moving up the field. In the later stages of the race I had a fantastic couple of laps with Nick, and at one point I think we where side by side for most of the lap. The battle with Nick was also at the time the battle for 10th.

Managed to pass Nick but then at the next corner I went and lost the rear on the brakes and spun it letting Nick back through and also Matt C. So for the remainder of the race I was charging to try and catch Matt who by now was in 10th after someone ahead of us had trouble. By the end of the last lap I was right under his wing but there was no way to get past and I wasn't just going to stick it up the inside and hope for the best so I missed out on that top ten spot by a quarter of a second :).

Great fun guys, and grats to the lads on the podium.
