Race report
rFBMW: Silverstone on Jan 06, 2009
Car: Formula BMW. Class: FBMW. Start: 18. Finish: 7. Laps: 22.

I am sooo relieved to get a decent points finish in the FBMWs. My last three races had seen me finish outside of the points, but given they were at particularly difficult tracks - Monaco, Leinz, GP-200 - it's maybe not that surprising.

I've always gone well at Silverstone, and last night was no different. Would probably have only just squeezed into the points had it not been for others errors or bad luck. But I did gain one position through a genuine overtaking move near the end. I'd had a couple of failed, heart-in-mouth attempts to pass Mark round the outside at T1, but finally made it stick. A nice moment, and great racing Mark. :)

Thanks to someone running out of fuel on the final lap, I managed to get myself up to 7th, which in a strong field of 27, I'll definitely take.

All in all, a good evening's racing.
