I get in the way a bit, Im sure of it. I try not to (I was in maybe the only 906 tonite?). We all have to remember this one little bit: every second a lapper gives up to us is a second he also gives to the guy he is chasing, and the guy chasing him. While lappers may not be involved in the fray of cars rounding them, they may still very much involved with cars unseen. It is a rough balance for every1. The lapper is probably giving a bit of room. Maybe not as much as we want. The time he gives us seems an eternity to him. just something to consider. Emotions will run high, and thankfully. If they did not this game would not be interesting, would it?
I had a blast out there tonite. I tangled with some back markers and loved it. it is hard to make a usefull pass in the 906 vs GT40 on this course. I knew that if i battled for every inch at every opportunity I cause both of us to run lower lap times, at best giving away time to all the other cars and at worst Id spin myself and the GT40 i was trying to get by. Comp froze while in 13th about 5 laps from fin. No tears. I loved it.
Thanks to all for a good run, sorry to those I may have fouled.

Michael- Im quite happy you saw that online cartwheel. I did a dozen or so in offline practice.
I loved the rolling start
I think Pete Schlough stole (not intentionally, Im sure) my grid position as we transitioned from side-by-side into single file. I was a bit excited about this early in the formation lap (no passing till green!!!!!), but knew I had to get over it before the race began. I felt OK by green. It is just one position, right? No need to worry in a mid-length race like this over a single position at the start...
At the end of the 1st race-lap Pete took the right-hand hair-pin slow and a bit off line... I touched him... he spun... I was off to the pits for a stop-n-go... for contact on the guy I felt had just wrong'd me (I am sorry to have spun you either way, Pete. Sincerely. That contact reflects my drive ultimately). There may have been a word in my throat, but I kept it there... In to the pits.
I came to a stop in the pits then tried to pass my stall- the AI pulled my car over and proceeded to reverse it back to my stall... I could not over ride the AI.
Still I didn't cuss or swear.
Once in my stall I could not figure out how to just stop and go (that was not an option since this was not a server imposed penalty}. I also could not figure out how to NOT change the tires (I was real flustered by now). This was going to be a huge penalty.
The final straw... the pit crew would not begin the tire change? I could not remember the Key mapped to ignition.
At this point there was no need to shout at my monitor. my night was over. I got back on the track, ran some slow laps, and then lost the car into a barrier.
I loved the rolling start though. Honestly did. We can work on the mechanics of the beast a bit. We must put it to work for us.
Thanks all
