Race report
Vintage GT: Warwick Farm on Mar 07, 2010
Car: Abarth. Class: P&G. Start: 4. Finish: 4. Laps: 35.

Congats to Ed, Dan and Pete.

In practice I was turning 43.6's, but halfway through quali my trusty LWFF started losing it's force feedback which made for free-wheeling steering....ugh. I did find a way to keep the rear tires cooler, but it's cost was about 3 tenths per lap.

At the start I misjudged the acceleration point and got swallowed up by Les, Dan and Pete. With feedback coming and going, I made some more errors which let Hernan and Barrett by. Around mid-way I started to come to grips with the wheel and was able to reel in Hernan but he was warping pretty badly, so running close was very dicey. I could get very close at Polo, finally getting inside and holding the pass. After the pit cycle, Hernan gained some time and emerged ahead. Again I could get close but small errors kept me back. With one lap to go, I closed the gap and got along side through Polo again. We went through the begining of Ledger with me inside, bumping midway but I held my line and crossed the finish ahead.

Tough race with technology letting me down a bit.

PS...disappointed with some of the obvious punting violations, and drivers NOT being Gentlemen about it. Backmarkers are drivers too, and the rule is to go around them, not through them.
