You say yes, and I say no
Due to an impending deadline that will be approaching early next year, I needed to "act soon or forever hold my peace (piece? either one). I haven't been riding much this year, and I'm disappointed about that. One thing led to another, then the Florida "off season riding months" were here (June-July-August, way too miserable to ride). I got in a great 2-wheeled trip over the holiday weekend at the beginning of September, put in a couple hundred miles thru north Georgia and Tennessee to see some racing and visit some friends, and that inspired me to get back in the saddle more and do some more riding when my schedule free'd up. Now that my sched is slowly getting better (and I'm also able to do some more sim-racing again thankfully) it came down to the hard choices: a motorcycle had to go to get another. *Sigh*, you can't keep them all. Goodbye Ducati :(

Very nice TC, but I'll keep my Blade thanks. What are these "off months", I hope your only talking track side cuz I ride my blade all year round cept when it snows or theres been a real bad frost, and the british winters have been very mild of late. Must admit tho, I have been seriously thinking of putting some heated grips onboard, although I'm not sure how the lads will view them. Then again I'm 43, feel the cold a bit these days and as my wife says, bollocks to what the guys think. Thats my baby in my avatar.
Nice bike man! | ||
I'm guessing the "off months" are a Florida exclusive thing. Having lived there for a year, I would certainly agree that riding a bike is the last thing I want to be doing in 120F and 100% humidity through a cloud of love-bugs ;-) Nice bike TC, nice to see someone in Florida knows what a real bike is (sorry but I can't stand "cruisers" or whatever the hell you call them). And it will be good to have you back on the virtual track! We've missed you ;-)
Ducks are great bikes and so are Guzzis. Hats off to manufacturer that follows their own path.
Allen, it's kind of a joke I make when I talk about it, that actually isn't too far off the mark. What most in northern climes consider "off season", like December, January & February, is riding season here, but I consider "off season" July & August.
Thanks Scott, gotta say I don't know that I've missed you :P And Finn, I figured you could appreciate an air cooled, pushrod twin. Even if the engine is oriented the wrong way.
