When the ex took the rabbits during the "divorce" it struck me at how nice it is to have an animal around. So we got a new member of the family: Kitkat!
She's a 15 week old shep. Absolutely beautiful, she's a complete and utter moaner though. She does come from police dog parents too, so she'll be fucking massive. I doubt she'll stop being a wuss however.
So I set the lap record at Monza in the CCWS cars and I'm rubbing my hands in glee at the prospect of actually finishing a race in these bloody cars, a win was even a distinct possibility... or so I thought. What happened you ask? I'll tell you my good friends, I fucked up completely and utterly.

Much to my horror come the race however, I am totally blitzed by almost everyone on the track down the front stretch. Following a horror smash at the Portland Grand Prix on Saturday Quickmusik.com and Rock n' Roll racing driver Jon Weal will miss all of his previously scheduled events until September.
In a statement, his manager Ole Megroin stated that "Mr Weal will be recuperating in a private French Clinic following the strong concussion he received in the accident during the Vanport GP."
It is likely that Weal will be spending large periods of time in the local area working on his recovery. Rumours that Weal would in fact be spending large amounts of time sampling the local wines and lounging in the pool were quickly denied.

Anyway, I've now had my license for nearly a fortnight and I'm loving it! Really getting confident at heading off out on my own and just going for a drive. It's funny, when I was 17 (when I became legal to apply for my provisional license) learning to drive seemed so pointless. Guess I was too busy gigging and trying to get laid. Musicians huh?
I'm also tentaively on the look out for a band to join. I really can't be arsed to join a bunch of young guys hoping to "make it". I've always been too cynical to seriously work in that kind of environment. I doubt I'd be too good at accepting the corporate cock anyway. So if anyone knows a bunch of guys (or girls) looking for a guitarist who just want to rockout on a Friday night gimmie a headsup!

In my last blog, I was talking about grandad Weal in the immediate aftermath of his stroke. Well, he's still with us in mind but it's quite plain that his body is trying to give up. He took his first mouthful of (very liquidised) food today. I'm concerned that mum is getting her hopes up that he's going to recover enough to one day return home. I must admire her optimism and faith, but I can't say that I feel the same. Indeed, I just wish the poor sod would be put out of his misery. It's a known fact to the family that the one thing he would want least is to waste away in a hospital bed.

My Grandad Weal had a stroke this weekend...
So I was enjoying a relaxing week with my mum and dad over in France, catching some rays and generally enjoying a chance to think about the last month or so and to gather some semblence of an idea of what to do next.
Now my plans have taken another hit.
On Saturday evening we received a call that grandad had had a stroke and was in a bad way. He's stable now thankfully but it looks like he's paralyzed down his left side. For a man whose life revolved so much around motorsports and driving after my Nan died last October I can't help but feel that he would probably rather have joined her.

Just letting you guys know that I'm all moved into my grandfather's place. Got my rig all setup and finally managed to figure out how to make the wireless connection work!
Should hopefully now be able to start competing again here at R2P! I haven't even been able to practice it's been that hectic the last couple of weeks!
Still managed to haunt the forums ocassionaly and shoot the shit though ;-)
