Chris Galloway has an amazing racing setup. It's an impressive bit of kit which makes me quite jealous.
But this is just crazy. It's one of those things that, if you have to ask how much it is, you can't afford it.
Since I'm sure none of us can afford that rig, there's always this if you have an iPhone.

Here we have some photos (via Autoblog) from the Jaguar 75th Birthday Party held at the Pebble Beach golf course.
Plus a link to the article on Autoblog.com.
Enjoy.
Well if Michael Kolar can do it, so can I. One of my favorite racers of all time is Dan Gurney. A man who could drive the wheels off of anything and win on any given day. The SPEED Channel website has gathered a couple of retrospectives on the Eagle himself.

My first race here at Race2Play was a WTCC double-header at Brands Hatch on July 11, 2009. I was on the waiting list for that race, and Tim came on TeamSpeak and gave me the password just before qualifying. I qualified 17th for that race, which ultimately ended in disaster in Race 2 with a DNF in the outside wall in Turn 1.
Since that rather lackluster debut, I've run 100 races (including two Special Events--Sebring 1.5 and Indy 500), covered 6,248 miles and driven 30 different cars on 76 tracks. I've raced in every category except off-road.
I'm happy to say that I've gotten much better since then. Many top tens, a few top fives. Just waiting for that breakth [... read in full]
During a surprise press conference today, executives from Aperture Laboratories issued a stunning statement that they will no longer sponsor the #77 Porsche RS Spyder entry for Flying Krobar Motorsports.
Company founder Cave Johnson stated, "We regret the timing of this decision, as there is one race to go in the WSCC season, but we have no other recourse."
Apparently Aperture Labs' funding from the U.S. Department of Defense was suddenly cut off, due to a lack of progress on any of the programs the government contracted them to do.
"Part of the reasoning for the sponsorship with Flying Krobar was to raise awareness about our projects with the public who, [... read in full]
Note: I've basically stopped writing race reports because, frankly, they've all started to sound the same. So I've decided to write a generic race report that basically covers all of the things that happen when I race. If something stellar or really noteworthy should happen, I'll write about it. When I actually start seriously gaining positions in qualifying or the race, I'll write about it. Until then, please refer to the following for pretty much any situation that comes up when I race. Thank you for your patience.
Congratulations to [insert driver's name] and the podium [of all classes, if necessary]!

... I have a new avatar. Thanks to Pete Schlough for reminding me of the meatball flag.
On another note, I've reached the milestone of 50 races and over 2100 miles here at Race2Play and I want to say I've had a great time racing with all of you. Or, for the most part, being lapped by you.
Thanks to Tim & Todd for providing a great place to race.
Here's to another 50!
I achieved a magic number on Thursday. 42. The Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything.
I mostly (harmlessly) want to say that I've had a great time here at Race2Play, and I look forward to another 1,697 miles raced.
Thanks to Tim & Todd for putting together such a great site, and to everyone I've raced with for a great experience.

To all my fellow R2P drivers --
Just to let everyone know, I try to set up my own personal practice server for any event I am involved in, just to get an idea of what the "real" conditions will be like for practice on an R2P server. I never have a hard and fast schedule of when the server is up or down. It really depends on how much practice I feel I need for a particular event and my personal schedule.
For instance, I have an F2 race at the Singapore street circuit on Sunday. I have very little open wheel experience, let alone in any car this bloody fast (rFactor original FIS machines). So I need all the practice I can get.
To sum up, if any driver is enter [... read in full]
